avatar Stunning tower with great accommodation
Rating: (5) rate
We visited Grenada at the end of October and stayed at the tower with friends. The accomatation is on 2 separate floors so ideal for 2 couples or those with older children. The beds were really comfortable and the rooms are very spacious and clean with en suite bathrooms and the benifit of tea making facilities should you need them. I preferred to go upstairs to the outside kitchen and up to the upper terrace to admire the wonderful views you get when staying at this property. It has the advantage of an outdoor shower and pool which makes being outside all the more pleasurable. The cooking facilities are fantastic BBQ plus heat rings, dishwasher and outside fridge. If you can be bothered to leave the tower the island has many good restaurants. You would need a car staying here or hire a driver as it is a little way out of the town.

avatar Wow what a fabulous, beautiful and amazing place!

The Tower is a wonderful place to stay and Grenada a beautiful island. The people are so welcoming and friendly and the beaches are amazing! The sea is like swimming in a bath! The Tower has absolutely everything you could wish for and all your needs are catered for. A car is essential but the island is small and there are loads of interesting activities and places to visit. I would definitely recommend a stay in this beautiful and unique setting - very romantic.

avatar Super cool, round house!

My husband and I stayed here a while ago and I forgot to submit a review! The structure itself is awesome and I would kill to live in a place like the Tower here in NY! The house is a little crazy to get to at first but once you get a handle on driving in Grenada it's no big deal. The views from the house are incredible and it's a really romantic place :0) We fell in love with the island and I know that The Tower had a lot to do with it.

avatar Very pretty house and gardens. Wonderful views, safe location and charming neighbours!

We have just stayed a week at the Tower and it was everything we hoped and more. The house is designed to maximise the views, and they are wonderful! It is well walled and gated, it feels safe. The kitchen and eating areas are only outdoors (although covered) so this is for the more adventurous. With weather like it was for us though, you shouldn't want to be inside! There is almost always a constant breeze and it really helps to keep the mosquitos away. I didnt put any spray on and was bitten only once! We loved eating outside at night. It looks great lit up. Aircon was a welcome benefit for sleepiung. Kids will love the design, but the house it really is for 4/5 ppl max (maybe 3 children). The owner is very helpful and contactable while you are there. He has good relationships with the hire companies, neighbours, restaurants etc - it really makes a difference to the quality of yous stay and getting the most out of the island. -examples - Our car battery was flat in the night and the neighbour came around in 10 mins and jumped us in . We were given special treatment at one of the restaurants (as if you dont get enough in Grenada anyway), and a discount with the car hire ppl. The caretaker comes as many times as you like to do washing or cleaning (there is no dishwasher). Importantly - the Information pack is extensive and very useful for planning any activities. The only negative was the noisy kite which a local tied to a tree beside the house - just cut them down if they are too noisy - they cost next to nothing! In summary the house is in a good position to get to the best parts of the island. There are marina bars within 5 mins drive and deserted beaches within 10 mins drive. A car is highly recommended. Taxis will be a bit of a pain. With the set-up of contacts and being able to reach the owner and get a response to anything we wanted to know - we certainly felt like we were in good hands in our first stay in Grenada. We weren't sure what we were doing on day 1, but by the end we had done plenty from the information pack. on the last day we were fishing with the locals ( I caught a 13lb tuna) which we cooked half on BBC beach, and the rest on the grill at home!

avatar Fantastic Location, unique accommodation
Rating: (5) rate
My husband and I stayed at the Tower for a week. The accommodation was all we could wish for, there is a lovely balance between comfort and style. There is a great feel about the place, fits very well with the general ambiance of the island itself. We found the Tower to be a great base from which to enjoy all the island has to offer, you need a car, but that would be the case with any accommodation. There are fantastic beaches and restaurants just a short drive away. As for the tower itself - everything you need, beautifully restful and serene. Great to sit our of an evening, cook and eat outside. Loved the style, decor and design of the Tower, lot of thought gone into the design and build.

avatar A stay in paradise.

We loved this unique Tower House. The two bedrooms are large and both have air conditioning which we didn't need that much because there is often a cooling breeze. The elevated position is great because you have 180 degree views of the caribbean sea and the rest is mountains and tropical rain forest. We loved the deck and gardens and the swimming pool and breakfasts in the morning.

avatar On top of the world!

We loved staying at The Tower. Fantastic views, quality fixtures and fittings - loved the showers - breezy and thought the outside kitchen was great. This is not a standard villa, it is very unusual and that is why I/we loved it. It's nice to come across something different and the owners of this property are obviously that, not off the shelf at all, more tailor-made. A peaceful and rejuvenating location. Ingrid was brilliant and looked after us really well.

avatar Amazing architect designed comfort, with great amenities

What a fantastic place The Tower is! Superb facilities, lovely pool and outdoor kitchen, everything spotlessly clean and in perfect working order. The owner is a friend of mine and made my arrival incredibly easy, but he would invariably do the same for any visitor. I could not have enjoyed my stay more. The neighbours, and indeed all the locals, are incredibly friendly and the island boasts great beaches, bars and restaurants-oh, and international cricket if that's your game!

avatar Beautiful Spot for a Grenadian Adventure
Rating: (5) rate
If you're looking for an alternative to the mass produced package holidays in the Caribbean then The Tower will not leave you disappointed. It offers luxurious accommodation with stunning ocean views and 100% privacy. The architecture compliments the surroundings perfectly and you can't fail to be impressed as you approach for the first time. We stayed for two weeks, hired a car for the first week and then took buses for the other. Buses are the best way to mix shoulder to shoulder (literally) with the friendly Grenadians and get a real feel for the culture but a car will give you the freedom to explore in your own time. Either way, The Tower is the perfect base from which to explore a beautiful and unique island.

I stayed at this property for a week and had a great time. The Tower being round gives you the advantage to see the views over 360 degrees, which are all are stunning especially out over the sea. Ingrid the house keeper is great friendly, and really helpful. The location is high up hence the stunning views, but close enough to pop to town or the deserted golden beaches. Would recommend a hire car but not absolutely necessary as good local bus service available. The property is well maintained clean and has good amenities. A nice touch is the night lighting in and around the pool and especially the outside kitchen area. The locals are really friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend staying here.

Perfect for a group of friends wh want to relax together in a quiet space with relaxing atmosphare. Loved the outside kitchen.

We stayed at the tower for a month, we loved every minute. The views are incredible 360 degrees all around the island. Being so high up there is always a soothing breeze. An amazing piece of architecture beautifully maintained, giving every luxury from the beautiful pool to the amazing sound of the Bose music system , which sounded incredible in the circular bedroom.loved the outside kitchen and very comfortable furniture.some days we didn't want to leave , the lovely housekeeper Ingrid was so helpful and informative .we loved it so much we are getting married on the top floor next year. The only thing missing was a full length mirror .

avatar Terrific Tower House
Rating: (5) rate
We were 2 couples and the house is perfect for giving each some space. It comes with a housekeeper. She was great. She did all the dishes and our laundry, changed the beds, etc. The house is in a central location on top of a hill with a 360 view of the island. We really enjoyed the lap pool. The outdoor kitchen doesn't take much to get used to. It is not close to a beach. There are not to many places to eat close by. Mostly you will need to drive 10 - 20 minutes for most things. There is a new lovely supermarket 5 minutes down the road. If you are not used to driving British style(we were not) It can be a bit of a stress. The roads are OK but have no shoulders and drivers do not give way. I do have 2 suggestions for the owners. First most Americans drink filtered electric machine coffee. The french press was not to our liking and the coffee was always cold. Second a tile lip or edge in the bath would be much nicer than a flooded bathroom every time you shower. All in all it is a unique experience and Grenada and her people are beautiful.

Stayed at the tower for two weeks. It's built high on the ridge and from the top you get a fantastic 360 view of the island. The bedrooms are ensuite with air conditioning and split over two levels. Kitchen area provides enough space for preparing meals but much prefer to get out and enjoy the Grenada restaurants. The housekeeper Ingrid is a joy to meet and will go out of her way to look after you. Like the rest of Grenada there are plenty of steep hills to encounter but just rent a car and enjoy the island

avatar Wonderfully Designed And Fantastic Position
Rating: (5) rate
We booked The Tower to attend my son's wedding on the island and we were not disappointed. It's a unique and beautiful place to stay and helped to make our time in Grenada even more memorable. True, as one of the previous correspondents writes, it's not right on a beach but you are likely to have a car (or there are excellent transport possibilities) and you are within minutes of all the famous Grenadian beaches and the position is sensational. There are shops and supermarkets nearby and several excellent restaurants but at the end of the day, it's a 15-25 minute (depending on traffic of course) to St. George's (take the back road), so it really doesn't matter and you have a unique place to say with some of the best views on the island. The circular design gives it an amazing outlook both from the bedroom and pool level but particularly from the upper level which literally has a 360 degree view of the surrounding area and, as you are at the top of a large hill, that view is spectacular. The bedrooms have recently been upgraded and the master bedroom is fabulous with tasteful furniture, colourful art works and a 'wet room' en suite. Don't be put off by the outside kitchen. The place has been very cleverly designed so you get a good cool breeze when you are using the facilities but also protection when you get the odd downpour (it's a tropical island right?). There's plenty of storage and two fridges so you can keep the drinks nice and cool. The only negative was a barbecue that was a bit past it's sell by date but the owner has promised to replace it. We hosted a party for the two families at The Tower and the combination of upstairs and downstairs meant it was an amazing venue that everyone loved. We love cooking so a few tips - go to the fresh fish market in St George's quite early to get bang fresh fish. I queued behind some locals and listened in on the prices they were paying for tuna and barracuda so made sure we got the same price! In the supermarkets, opt for stuff that is grown or made locally as imported goods are pretty expensive. And you absolutely must try the local rums including the 'rocket fuel' bottles that are too alcoholic to be sold in duty free. The owners are brilliant at recommending car hire companies, taxis, restaurants etc and Ingrid, who visits five days a week, is really helpful and also has good local knowledge. We now have a direct connection with this wonderful island (make sure you explore to the north if you can) and, in the words of Arnie - "We'll be back!"
