Great home design for separate families with detached bures for sleeping and a central house and deck for coming together. All the inclusions are great quality and it comes with kayaks, SUP's & plenty of snorkel gear (reef is off the back yard!). Service was great with a cook and housekeeper included who looked after everything and left you time to enjoy the place. Opportunities for trips to local waterfalls, villages or deep sea fishing can all be organised by the staff. Also massages, local dances etc. Youngest child during our stay was 3yo and the pool isn't fenced so need to make sure any kids can swim or you'll need to keep an eye on them. Local shops are a short walk away so you can top up on essentials.
Thanks Danielle and Salishna for a great stay!

Shambala was a perfect retreat for a week away - amazing location! We were a group of friends, one couple with a small child and the house was perfect with 4 separate wings (ensuited) and one with an additional bedroom for children. It felt that you had your own space while also being able to enjoy the time with friends.
The house was well equipped with everything you need (kayaks, SUP's, snorkelling gear etc.) and was decked out with BBQ, pizza oven, bar area, well stocked kitchen, DVD's, WIFI and all the essentials. Close to shops and some great local restaurants as well.
Danielle was a brilliant host and the housekeepers (Salishna) were extremely friendly and helpful. Would recommend to any family or large group.
Thanks Danielle, we had a great time!

I stayed here recently with family, we had 3 adults and 3 children and this is a perfect spot. 4 separate bedroom buris, one of which has adjoining bedrooms and a shared bathroom and the main house with kitchen, living room, pantry and laundry.
The view is spectacular and as there are stairs down to the beach this makes the house and pool area invisible from anyone walking on the sands below.
Danielle the manager, was ever so helpful and attended to every request that we had....and there were a few. The staff were friendly and cooked for us as required. I cannot recommend this lovely property highly enough.

Bula ! Andersons
My family spent 10 days relaxing and enjoying Shambala as our secure and private base. Its locaion at Maui Bay allows for short journeys
to resorts for fine dining
or the local cheap bus to Eco cafe for your fat fix on the beach
or trips to Singatoka to shop or watch the local Rugby,
or a local village tour with Kava ceremony, the beautiful waterfall,
local links to fishing charters, with golf for every level available, but a very special course is only 45 minute drive away. I have not even mentioned Kayaks and snorkeling gear, reef shoes, golf clubs, fishing gear all available at Shambala. The freedom Shambala gave us made for a more enjoyable holiday with the grown family than we would have had at a large resort nearby. The staff are wonderfully helpful and the Fijians are a friendly people.
I would have given Shambala 5 stars but unfortunately next door has become a building site and the noise is inescapable at times. I believe this is temporary.

Our extended family of 8 plus a baby stayed here for 12 days and would highly recommend it to groups or families.
Danielle is a fabulous host, very helpful and accessible.
We did not have a working phone and had trouble arranging bookings and taxis, so she lent us one of hers which made our lives so much better. We could also contact her through emails as access to the internet is included in your final cost.
The accommodation is spacious, clean and great for a group of people as you can live communally with little fuss. The separate bedrooms with ensuite are excellent. The living area is conducive to whole group activities as well as more individual ones.
There is a decent kitchen and a separate bar with fridge. We loved the fact that we could kayak, snorkel and swim at will. Everything we wanted to do or needed was on site.
Saleshni is wonderful - she came to clean and tidy everyday and is able to cook a great curry and co ordinates daily life really well.
A suggestion for the future is to provide curtaining for the doorways for each bedroom as not only does the light stream in, but also there is a lack of privacy. Our daughter brought a suction cap block out curtain for her baby's room, which was invaluable. Also the lighting in the living area was insufficient. The dishwasher also needs servicing. However these are trivial issues - we had a fabulous holiday.
We found taxis to be a little expensive and a bit of a monopoly - we should have caught buses more often.
All in all we would highly recommend Shambala - a far better option than a resort stay for us as a family who wanted time together and to chat, play games and eat together.

Shambala is a wonderful place to celebrate life with extended family or friends. So lucky to go there for Granny's 70th with all our family gathered, from NZ and Norway. Beautiful place, roomy and wonderful house maximising special position on the beach. The staff were simply wonderful, friendly, warm and so willing to make our stay as fabulous as possible. Couldn't have asked for more. Danielle marvellous to deal with, going the extra mile & nothing too much trouble. Would have loved less rain and more sunshine but maybe next time! Vinaka vaka levu to you all.

The pictures of this property do not do justice to how good it is. The host, Dani, could not have been more helpful - from responding quickly and accurately to even giving us a lift to Sigatoka to go to the markets. Dani, along with her marvelous staff made this an enjoyable holiday. There is a supermarket just a 10 minute walk away for anything you may need. The outlook across the lagoon to the coral reef is spectacular and the facilities provided excellent. Why cook yourself when the lovely Sileshni can cook you a meal. Definitely a return location.

We stayed for a week at Shambala in October when we went to a wedding. The place is absolutely beautiful in a fantastic location. Every amenity at Shambala was first class and the locals who provided the service of our cleaning, cooking and massage were so so accommodating. We would go back to Shambala in a heart beat and hope to do so in the future. Cannot speak highly enough of this beautiful place.

Our group of 12 adults from 2 families stayed at Shambala late October/early November 2016 for 11 nights. This property is amazing from the minute you walk through the front door. Our wonderful host Dani met us and showed us around. She was fantastic and was on hand to organize anything from taxis, village tour, snorkelling trip, Fijian dancers, airport transfers and even dinner reservations. We used the chef Prmal a lot during our stay for dinners. We enjoyed all of his meals especially the seafood buffet, chinese buffet and the Lovo dinner. Thanks to Prmal also for his help during the day, he even drove and got us some bread one day, when we realized after just coming home we didn't have any. Thanks also to Sileshni and her lovely staff who cared for the house during our stay, the ladies were always very friendly and helpful. The actual house itself is beautiful and has everything you might need. The house is set on the beautiful Coral Coast, so swimming, snorkelling, paddle boarding and canoeing is all at your fingertips in the crystal clear water. The gardens of the house are lovely and tended to by Felise, he does a great job. Thanks again Dani for an amazing trip and you made our first trip to Fiji an unforgettable experience.

Danielle and her staff at Shambala made our family Christmas holiday unforgettable. From arrival groceries to amazing meals as well as trips / taxis organised and professional advice, it was truly a home away from home.
The rooms are spacious and comfortable while the living spaces are well equipped and accommodating. The showers are hard to get consistent temperature and it is a way from Nadi airport but these are minor issues when everything else is so perfect.
I would recommend Shambala to anyone wanting that personal touch with peace, relaxation and tranquility rather than a resort in Fiji.

My family and I were in Fiji for my sisters wedding at the Outrigger so we all wanted to stay together as it'll be easier for transportation etc. I came across the Shambala and fell in love with the pxts aswell as the reviews! All I can say is - AAAAAMMMMMAZZZZZING!! Such a beautiful Villa to stay at, private and who wouldn't want to wake up to an ocean view with freedom to swim whenever we want in the pool.
My family booked the entire villa for a week and every morning the beautiful ladies were there to clean.
Danielle is really helpful and such a lovely person to deal with.
Thanks so much Danielle, we will definitely be back. It was awesome to see my parents and grandma just relax and enjoy our holiday!

AMAZING HOUSE, AMAZING LOCATION, AMAZING STAFF!
Everything provided was as described. Danni and staff were exceptional. They were able to cater to our every need.
The beach is at your door step. The house is stocked with an abundant amount of swimming/ pool toys to keep the kids entertained for hours.
Would recommend a trip to the local handicraft store. The store salesman are able to pick you up from the house, take you to the store (your not obliged to buy anything) and even take you for a local village tour.
Only regret- didn't stay here longer.

Ten family members spanning three generations had 10 days here and it was wonderful. Private accommodation in separate villas around a huge living area, lovely pool and easy access to beach...all great. Staff were delightful, for everything from massages to chef-cooked meals if we wanted. Very highly recommended for a private family vacation.

Last week was just amazing and everyone from the 4 yr old to the 68 year old enjoyed themselves. The facilities were great and there was really nothing lacking. It was so good to spend time together, but still be able to have time alone if we wanted to. The two grandkids barely left the pool, except to head to the beach. When you book on-line, it's not often the the photos actually match the facilities offered, but Shambala really does.
The staff are truly amazing too. Friendly, helpful and efficient, but most importantly, happy and fun to have around and couldn't do enough for us. They were so kind to the grandkids as well and did everything they could to keep everyone happy. As the person who usually lands all the cooking and organising, it was absolute bliss for me. Total relaxation, topped off by massages every day.

This was by far one of the best holiday's I've had. All the perks of a luxury resort, with amazing staff who cleaned, cooked, booked tours and all sorts of things for us. 100% recommend.

We just had the most amazing holiday in beautiful Fiji.
Joel was a great host & gave us great info on the area.
The house was everything we wished for our group of 6adults & 6kids.The kids enjoyed the pool & the beach.
We loved having our own kitchen,so we had a few BBQ & it was so well stocked.
Special thanks to all the girls who went above & beyond for us. You were so helpful with our kids & always had smiles on your faces.
We are already saving to come back!

Had the pleasure of staying here during October School Hols. Located approx. 25 mins from Sigatoka on the majestic Maui Bay/Coral Coast . The location of this property behind a walled complex of several holiday homes is great - with a Supermarket (fairly well stocked for rural Fiji supermarket- probably geared to the many holiday home rentals located nearby, Also gas station and ATM if required.
There is a sandy little beach with excellent coral and reef directly of the back lawn.
The facility offers both kayak/stand-up paddle boards. The layout of this generously sized holiday home is great with the central living pavilion and en-suited bure's allowing each their personal space, the separate kitchen was great as we BBQ most nights. Our host Joel organised a meat order/delivery the day we arrived , great. The swimming pool was well utilized and fortunately the weather did the right thing - 28-32 degs. most days . down to about 22 at nights. The house staff were very welcoming , friendly and did their best to keep all happy including the grandies during our stay. The only negative - would be the building, facility is showing signs of age and we did encounter a couple of issues , which our Host Joel did respond to immediately - I am sure some maintenance and rejuvenation would bring this holiday home back to it's best. The location and relaxed vibe certainly allowed us all to feel rejuvenated , Vinaka Shambala.

The location is amazing - the beach is right on the doorstep. What a way to start the day with stand-up paddle boarding and snorkelling before breakfast and then lazing the day away around the pool. The staff were very friendly and helpful and provided fantastic Fijiian flavoured food. The house felt like we were staying in a resort however needs a bit of maintenance as there are some areas that are a bit tired.
All our group thoroughly enjoyed the week that we stayed and would thoroughly recommend to others.

We all absolutely loved our stay at Shambala. I have stayed many places in Fiji of all different types. This is 1 of the best. The friends that came with me fell in love with Fiji and Shambala. We all will be back. The pictures do not do this wonderful place justice. We all felt so relaxed and comfortable. The staff were great ( more like friends than staff) and always happy and smiling.
We all like cooking and found almost everything we desired in the kitchen.
Joel was wonderful to deal with. Although we didn't get to meet him. Maybe next time.

Perfect place for a family holiday with 4 separate villas and stunning sea views of the coral coast. The staff were lovely and made great recommendations and kept the place clean and did our laundry daily. Enjoyed the massage by the sea, snorkelling everyday at the semi-private beach, private pool, the lovo and the large kitchen/living where everyone could hang about even while the children slept. Would definitely recommend
