Our family's first trip to Japan and Kei, the owner, made it so memorable. He was able to accomodate our last minute booking, picked us up at the station, gave us a sake and chocolates as a welcome gift. The house is a traditional japanese house, with kitchen, tub, washing machine. We had some misunderstanding with the check out date, but we are extremely grateful that Kei is very respectful, called us, waited for us (we were 40 mins away) and did not throw our things outside while he prepare the house for the incoming guest. It's like 10-15 mins walk from the Zoshiki station, very convenient to buy food at 711, bakery along the way. We loved our stay and will definitely stay at this house again. Thanks Kei!

Tokyo is a wonderful place to visit, and our stay in Kei`s guest house made our holiday extra special. Kie came to meet us at the train station to guide us to his lovely guest house. The area where we stayed is Fabulous and the local people are friendly and helpful. Thank you Kei for your kindness on our arrival to your wonderful country.

This beautiful guesthouse is easily reached via the Keikyu line, which connects to the Shinagawa station. From there the JR Yamaonte line can connect to all the popular stations (Shinjuku, Akihabara, Ueno, etc.) Although the location is not the most central there are other benefits, my favorite one was walking through a charming plaza full of restaurants, convenience/toy stores and other specialized stalls. Some of the nearby restaurants were very good. We missed Kei’s email asking him to be notified when we arrived so he could meet us at the station, but his explanations (and maps) were so good we eventually met him directly at the guesthouse. The guesthouse was very nice (looked exactly like the photographs) and had the basic amenities. Every appliance (washer, heater, vacuum, DVD player, etc.) had notes with English descriptions and everything was very well organized. Although the house was not equipped with a clothes dryer, there is a close by laundromat (for rainy days). Seems Japanese houses usually don’t have dryers (as this is seen as a waste of space and electricity) and it is evident by all the hanged clothes in all the houses around. We only saw Kei twice, but he helped us a lot via emails (replying to questions, restaurant reservations, etc.) He is a great person, very responsible (replying extremely fast to emails) and went the extra mile to meet our expectations. Would we stay here again? Absolutely! (if we are allowed.... of course). My son (15 years old) asked me if we could return to Comiket (Comic Market) next year, and to stay at Kei’s guesthouse again. Thank you Kei for all the memories.

What a totally delightful and wonderful experience in all respects! Kei, the host, could not be more helpful. The traditional house actually has modern conveniences. We were the only Westerners we ever saw in this charming neighborhood. I suggest reading all the directions Kei has prepared in his guest book. Also, we found the easiest way to the Zoshiki train station to be: Exit house and turn left to get to first street (only a few paces away). Turn right until arriving at the corner with Honda and Suzuki. Turn right after the Honda and,Suzuki shops and go straight...through the Zoshiki shopping arcade and turn right to enter the train station. We were four adults who enjoyed every minute!

This was our first time in Japan. We were very excited, but also exhausted, due to a tremendous long journey (almost 20 hours), by car, plane, train and subway. Then we finally met Kei san, who waited for us at the subway station Zoshiki. We were greatful he had shown us the way. At last we arrived at our very comfy house we were to stay for some days. We loved the location, because it was a quiet neighbourhood, but not too far away of busy Tokyo center. From the house is a pleasant shortwalk to the station. Everything was very clean and tidy. Almost everything was there for use. We only missed the dishcloths. All information about Tokyo and the direct neighbourhood was well described in the guestbook. Don’t forget to consult it. Our children wanted to experience staying in a typical traditional Japanese house, with some modern adaptions. We found it all in this house and we all enjoyed our time here fully. Thank you Kei san, for making our Japanese experience memorable!!
