We stayed here for 3 nights for my boyfriends birthday in October. Although we did not get to meet the lady who owned the property, we did meet her son who was very welcoming and helpful. They were available by phone and gave us directions of how to get there with no problems at all. The property itself is beautiful. We had everything there that we needed. The kitchen was well equipped and everything was very easy to use and accessible. Some basics, such as tea, coffee and milk were provided and there was home made scones and jam waiting for us on our arrival. As it was late on when we arrived, we were greeted by oil burners and candles, which was very thoughtful and romantic. We started relaxing from the moment we arrived and were very sad to leave. The whole cottage was immaculate and well thought out. The bed was very comfortable, and the bedroom was beautiful. The bathroom / wet room was lovely too, the power shower in-particular. We didn't light the fire in the living room as the weather was fantastic and the cottage was very warm anyways. There was a TV /DVD and a selection of movies but we didn't put it on at all. There were lots of books and magazines in the cupboard if needed. There were lots of little touches that made the trip really special for us. The location of the cottage was great. It is about an hour from Dublin, not far from some fantastic walks (we did a few local ones), and a couple of miles from the coast (Courtown). The was a couple of nice restaurants in Gorey, and plenty of shops to buy some basics at. If you are looking for a romantic getaway, with some lovely scenery and things to do, this is definitely the place for you. I would recommend this cottage to anybody. It was truly fabulous and I hope we get the chance to go back to it at some point

You know things are going to be good when you are met by your host with coffee and scones. The cottage is on a working farm (although no need to bring your wellies) in the countryside just outside the bustling town of Gorey in County Wexford. The cottage is well furnished with just about everything you could need or want, as well as having a cosy wood buring stove for when it is chilly outside. The bed is firm and extremely comfortable. The gardens surrounding the cottage are particularly beautiful and well kept. Gorey itself is not very exciting, but has plenty of shops and bars. It is a pleasnt 2 mile walk from the farm. There is not much to do in the imediate area. But it is ideally situated to drive to Dublin in the north and Waterford and Wexford in the south, and all the glorious beaches along the way, as well as the mountains to the west. This is an ideal place for a couple to stay to explore a little of the great deal that Ireland has to offer for a holiday.

Very pleasent accomodation with everything you need which contributed to an extremely enjoyable holiday. It was so very fortunate that we managed to pick two of the best weeks of the summer of 2013, so far, so we could enjoy the fabulous beaches, some stretching for miles and offering the opportunity for us to enjoy our favourite activities of cycling and Canoeing. Plenty to see and do, even if the weather is not so good. Hook Point LIghthouse is a good place for adults and children. Good food can be found easily. Local shopping in Gorey approx 3km from studio and some really good coffee/cake shops on the High Street. Good Shopping Centre at Arklow with some good cycle tracks/walking along the sea front. Would highly recommend.

Wir haben die Woche sehr genossen. Ein tolles kleines Häuschen mit einer fantastischen Gastgeberin. Tolle Sandstrände sind schnell mit dem Auto erreichbar.
