Gorgeous ground floor apartment with conservatory extension where we spent most of the time! This generous 3 bed apartment is a good size and has absolutely everything you could ever need. Immaculately clean with white bedding and towels. There is a well cared for garden with fabulous views of Anstruther and the Isle of May. I have no hesitation in recommending and intend returning! Thank you Debbie!

This lovely apartment exceeded our expectations in every way. Perfect for extended family visit with elderly relatives, as all on one level, which is uncommon in this beautiful part of Scotland. Very lucky with the weather and couldn't have asked for a better view from the twinkly hub of the kitchen diner. Look forward to a return visit.

4rth time in Anstruther for a weeks holiday and this was our best holiday let. The owner has provided everything that you could need for a weeks holiday. This compliments both the accommodation and superb location? We also appreciated the off road parking, as this is not always readily available in Anstruther. I have no hesitation in recommending this property to both family and friends alike.

We had a lovely long weekend at Chesterhill House with our two grown up sons and their partners celebrating our anniversary. The house was ideal for us - plenty of space for everybody and we particularly enjoyed spending time in the kitchen / dining room / conservatory. The sun shone for us and the garden and views beyond were lovely. Great location within walking distance of restaurants / pubs in Anstruther and Fife coastal walk. We would recommend this apartment for a holiday in the East Neuk.

Could not of asked for anything more, the apartment was lovely, very spacious, central and amazing views. It had everything we required, even down to cot and high chair for our granddaughter, games, books & puzzles to keep us occupied. The only down side was the WiFi, it was not great and mobile phone signal not good, which was a problem trying to stay in contact with family when required. Will definitely like to return at some point. Thank you

On arrival we were delighted and surprised at the size of this accommodation didn't realise it would be so big and full of character, instructions for heating etc. were spot on. We loved sitting in the conservatory at night with the twinkle lights on and under floor heating looking over to the harbour. We had a fantastic weekend all round and will hopefully return at some point next year.

This accommodation was excellent. We loved the well appointed kitchen/dining/conservatory area. The beds were very comfortable and everything was spotlessly clean. When we said we would love to come back we meant it!

We were lucky enough to be able to book the Garden Apartment at short notice. Debbie was very accommodating and the communication with her prior to arriving at the property was fantastic. The view from the apartment was stunning and the enclosed garden was a perfect size for our 3 year old to run off some energy in. He loved the 'sea window' and spent ages watching the boats as they left the harbour. The beach is no more than 30 metres away from the gate to the property which was perfect for entertaining the kids. The apartment is beautifully appointed. The kitchen has everything you could need, the lounge is roomy and the beds are so comfortable. We hope to be able to visit this gem of a property again in the future :)

We stayed here in October 2014 during the school holiday week and booked this place as a last minute break. The accommodation was excellent - an excellent standard. The living room was cosy and we enjoyed having a proper fire. We spent most of our time in the kitchen/conservatory though and we appreciated the underfloor heating. My husband had a wee bit of work to do that week so he really appreciated the wifi. Perfect distance for kids to play on the beach and for wee walks into town or even onto the coastal paths. We would 100% recommend this place to friends and family. Thanks

Once again we enjoyed another fantastic stay at this beautiful apartment. It is very well appointed, clean and has lovely views from the conservatory looking out to the Isle of May. We find it works well with the sleeping arrangements, bathrooms, and sitting areas. This allows us all to be together but have our own space if we wish. We had a lovely meal at The Rockies restaurant in Anstruther Golf Club, food delicious and very friendly staff, it’s just about next door to the apartment too! This was our fourth visit, and would hope to return again next year. Thanks Debbie once again for an enjoyable stay.

Thoroughly enjoyable break taken with two sets of grandparents! Very suitable for them with being a ground floor flat, no problems with access. The two bathrooms and two different seating areas also means that there is plenty of space and people can do their own thing (tv programmes, reading etc). Could never get tired of the view of the ''isle of may'' and the garden is ideal to sit outside on a sunny afternoon. Ideally situated for any golfing nuts........besides Standrews being 15-20 mins away, there are many lesser known fantastic courses such as Lundin, Elie & Crail within 5-10mins away. Would definitely consider booking again, when we are next back in Scotland. Iain A

Absolutely fantastic in everyway it was a lovely location and only a few mins walking distance to the village . The house was perfect , comfortable and cosy . The beautiful conservatory with its fairy lights made our holiday such a lovely homely atmosphere. The house catered for everything we needed . We drove to Saint Andrews twice and it only took 20 mins so that was lovely . We were a party of six and we all felt we had plenty of space . I would defiantly recommend this holiday location and we will be back in the future!

I had a wonderful stay over the new year with 5 friends. The accomodation was tastefully decorated but held its traditional charm. It was spacious and cosy with the addition of a coal fire which we only used once, merely for effect than the warmth as the heating was ample. The underfloor heating in the conservatory and the fairy lights gave a really warm feel. The views an outlook are fabulous with Anstruther only a short walk into town. I would recommend the accomodation for a family or friends and would certainly return and recommend.

I have just returned from a fun and relaxing weekend in this fabulous apartment. The apartment is enormous and is the ground floor of a characterful building restored to a very high spec. The underfloor heating in the light bright kitchen/ conservatory was a delight, the views are stunning and the apartment has fantastic gardens directly onto the shore. Golf, coastal walks, cafes, and gift shops are just a few of the things do do in Anstruther, St Andrews and Edinburgh are both very close for day trips. The rooms are all spacious and elegant, two bedrooms and the living areas enjoy the great views, cosy log fire etc. This apartment lacks nothing and I will be returning as soon as possible. Thank-you Debbie K for allowing us to share your wonderful holiday home.

This property is fitted out to a very high standard and was immaculately clean. Quality furniture and very comfortable beds. Nice big lounge with real fire and period wood surrounds. Excellent conservatory kitchen, very bright with lovely views out to Anstruther and Isle of May. We were particularly impressed with the supply of books, games, DVDs and even cooking/cleaning essentials. Nice secluded garden with patio furniture and (gas) BBQ. Internal garage for convenient storage of outdoor equipment. Well situated for shore walk (tide permitting) or street walk to town. The Fife Coastal Path passes the front door. Even so, it is very quiet with no rowdy neighbours. Very pleasant although remote owners. Our recommendations as to improved heating controls were accepted immediately so owners very keen to maintain their high standard. We have every intention of returning hopefully on a regular basis.

What a fantastic find. Everything was brilliant from the location to the comfort of the apartment. The location is next to the sea just on the outskirts of the small town of Anstruther. The apartment was spotless and had plenty of room. The conservatory was large and you could see the seawhilst having your breakast. As a bonus the eather was also very kind to us!

We recently enjoyed our third short stay at the apartment. It did not disappoint, beautiful location and the high standards within the house have been maintained. The house is suitable for all age groups, and is a great place to relax and take in the views. We ate at the Rockies restaurant within the Golf Club which is just about next door to the apartment, high tea is very well priced, and the added bonus of its location enables everyone to enjoy a drink! The surrounding coast of Fife has many lovely places to explore. We would not hesitate in recommending, and also find Debbie very accommodating and helpful. We will be back! Thanks :-D

I stayed in the apartment for a weekend as a group of six (three couples) and it ticked every box for us. I was particularly impressed with the size of the rooms, all three bedrooms were spacious, large living room and the kitchen/dining and seating area in the conservatory were lovely also. Entire apartment was spotlessly clean and there was a very nice combination of modern and traditional features. Location was excellent, easy to find and had lovely views across the water to the Isle of May and was only a 5/10 minute walk to the centre of town. Also, just a stones throw from Anstruther Golf course and the Fife coastal path. I hope to return to this property again and would have no hesitation in recommending it to family & friends.

We rented this apartment for my mother's 75th birthday weekend (age range of 15 to 75) and it surpassed our expectations. This apartment is as advertised. The furnishings are of a high standard, the rooms are spacious and comfortable and the sea and harbour views are stunning. I cannot think of any other property we have rented where my 15 year old daughter had all the items required to make a birthday cake at her fingertips. This included tins, scales and electric hand mixer! We decided to have a birthday lunch rather than dinner and chose the Waterfront Restaurant which is also to be recommended. We returned to the apartment for a relaxing evening. A repetitive comment over the weekend was how at home people felt there. It really is so comfortable and there is even an inviting coal fire waiting to be lit. All the items required to do this task are supplied which is wonderful. Fairy lights line the kitchen /diner ceiling which has a wonderful effect when you are eating dinner. The kitchen is very modern and well equipped. We were only a 5/10 minute walk from restaurants, shops, harbour and pubs. Coastal walks are on your doorstep. All in all a wonderful weekend and we would not hesitate to revisit.

Just returned from a weekend in this lovely apartment. It had everything we could possibly need for a family with two young children and their granddad. Even though the Saturday weather was pretty dismal, there was plenty to do in the apartment, thanks to the games, books and jig-saws supplied by the owner. The apartment is spacious and well equipped, with clean and modern fittings. The beds are all comfortable, and the coal fire was lovely on a chilly evening. Would definitely recommend.

My husband and I visited Chesterhill Garden Apartment with two friends for a week. Our initial reaction as we walked through the garden gate was 'Wow', such an amazing panoramic view, which could also be enjoyed from almost every room. A property that has been tastefully decorated combining the old and the new, very spacious and very comfortable. Everything you need is available including a powerful shower. The conservatory is a very comfortable room with the sun shining in during the day and the moon throwing its light across the Forth towards it at night. We were there to play golf and there is a choice of so many good courses within easy reach, The coastal path is on the doorstep and it is only a short walk into Anstruther with its harbour, restaurants and bars.Debbie was very prompt and helpful when responding to any queries before our holiday. We hope to revisit and will certainly recommend the property to our friends.

Myself and 3 friends had a girls weekend away at Chesterhill House. The property was beautiful with amazing views back over Anstruther. We spent a lot of time sitting in the conservatory looking out at the Isle of May. This is my second stay here, the last time being with my husband and 2 children. I would love to come back again with either friends or family.

This is a delightful, generous, ground floor apartment with a safe walled garden with only the Firth of Forth on the other side. Uninterrupted views across to the May Isle and of the shore line around the harbour. Rockies at the golf club ( good affordable food) is a few steps away as is a small sandy beach ideal for youngsters. In a few minutes you can walk round to the harbour, crossing on the old stepping stones when the tide is out, to enjoy award winning fish and chips. The apartment is right on the route for the Fife coastal walks. Although if the kids get tired of walking check out the Land yachting on St Andrews West Sands: this was the highlight of our activities... "the best thing ever" says Cam age 11. (check out 'Blown Away').

I previously stayed at the Chesterhill apartment in August 2012 with my nephews and decided to take my Mother-in-law for a Birthday treat. There were four of us, we had a very relaxing short break, and once again would not hesitate in recommending this as your choice of accommodation in Anstruther. My Mother-in-law's own words were that it had exceeded her expectations. We dined at the local Golf Club (almost next door!), which I would highly recommend for "high tea" - excellent value and beautiful food. Debbie was also very helpful during our stay. Thanks again :-)

We really liked the mix of old and new in this apartment. There was lovely original features in the old part of the building (complete with open fire) but the added advantage of a modern kitchen/conservatory -(complete with heated floor)added on. Everything you could want was provided. It was fabulous seeing the sea just over the garden wall and it was only a two minute walk to a good beach and to the coastal walks. I would certainly recommend it.

Thank you Debbie for allowing us to stay in your beautifully decorated and immaculately clean home. We found the house to be well equipped with tasteful furnishings, comfortable beds and a much appreciated powerful shower (something I have found sadly lacking in many vacation properties). The house has a bright, modern feel without losing its charm or period features. Debbie your thoughtful touches throughout the apartment makes it warm and welcoming; by day, we sat in the conservatory watching the waves crash on the harbour wall and by night, we sat toasting our toes by the coal fire. Anstruther and all its amenities are on the doorstep. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect property or perfect location to spend our week's holiday..

Lovely garden apartment all on the one level, three large bedrooms and an impressive cosy lounge. Everything you could possibly need in the well stocked kitchen/conservatory – a lovely place to sit and admire the views of the harbour. Decorated and furnished to a high standard and was spotlessly clean. It’s a stone's throw away from the golf course, where we had a nice meal at the Rockies Restaurant. High quality accommodation, stocked with a selection of books, DVD's and games. The perfect place to bring in the New Year. Owner was very helpful and we will definitely be back. Would highly recommend this property.

We absolutely loved the gorgeous beach-side location, it was within easy walking distance of the harbour and local shops. The rooms were spacious, the beds were comfortable and the garden beautiful. It was a child-friendly property with everything you could possibly need, a real home from home. We can't fault this property in any way or recommend it enough. I just wish we could have stayed longer!

On my trip to Scotland from Canada, I travelled with my two sisters to Chesterhill House Garden Apartment in Anstruther. The house was spacious and well equipped with a beautiful view over the bay. It was a short walk down to the harbour on one side and the golf course was just steps away on the other side. We spent quite a few hours just watching the fishing boats out in the harbour - and the sunrise was spectacular. I had the added bonus of seeing two dolphins swim in the bay! I highly recommend the apartment.

Chesterhill is perfectly situated beside the beach with views over the harbour mouth. The sandy beach and rock pools provide endless play for a 3 and 5 year old. Patio doors from a suntrap conservatory out into the garden made playtime easy to supervise. The interior has high quality furnishings and fittings making for an easy-to-maintain property and a very comfortable stay. A short walk to a busy harbour with fishing port, lifeboat, fisheries museum, coffee shops, deli and eateries. This is a beautiful and gentle part of Scotland's landscape. Stand-out features in a five star rental are the dining conservatory with comfy sofas, watching the boats, sun beating down and doors to garden open for a sea breeze and smell of the ocean - and the eternal pleasure of an empty beach on the doorstep.

Myself, Mum, Sister and two nephews stayed at the Chesterhill House apartment for a short break during August. I cannot speak highly enough of the apartment. I had visited St Andrews on several occasions, and was looking for somewhere to stay in the surrounding area. I had no knowledge of Anstruther, but after some research and viewing the website/pictures, we decided to book. We were not disappointed, the apartment was exactly as described and the location was perfect. The smallest room was of a good size, and easily accommodated the cot which we required during our stay. The apartment is virtually next door to the Golf Club, and roughly a ten minute walk into the main street of Anstruther where you’ll find a lovely harbour, shops and restaurants. We ate at the Harbour Inn which was very good, but apparently the Golf Club restaurant has a great reputation for food, but unfortunately their kids menu is not as extensive. The accommodation itself is very spacious, but we spent most of our time in the Conservatory/dining kitchen which is extremely comfortable and the owners have even added some “fairy lighting” which is very relaxing in the evening! Also, the added bonus of parking at the property and the apartment being set on ground level, works well. Debbie was very helpful from the initial stages of booking our stay and while we were there. I would really struggle to find anything as a negative for this apartment, and I am very particular myself. There is a small beech just beyond the golf course which my nephews enjoyed a stroll to. There is so much to do surrounding Anstruther, and if you are looking for somewhere to take kids, I would highly recommend Cairnie Farm Park in Cupar. In summary, this is a beautiful apartment, very clean, excellent location with seaviews and I would not hesitate in recommending it.

I travelled with four friends to this apartment for a long weekend. It it situated right on the coast with views out to the sea. The apartment has a great decor and is very comfortable. It has been extended into a conservatory and I loved how this had been added to the building. The conservatory holds the kitchen diner where you can sit, eat and drink while looking out to the sea. It also has a massive garden where we were lucky to have one day of sunshine and lie out on the grass. Lovely.

We have been renting holiday accommodation in Fife twice a year for several years with my elderly father who was born here. Anstruther is a great location and Chesterhill House Garden apartment is quite definitely the best yet, including a fabulous kitchen conservatory with views over the garden to the harbour and Isle of May. Being able to park right next to the house with easy access and everything on ground level was a huge bonus on this our second stay. I have no reservations in recommending it as a luxurious holiday rental.

Alles vorhanden, was man komfortabel benötigt an Küchengeräten, Waschmaschine, Trockner. Optimaler Standort!

The location is 5 mins from the harbour or you can take a shortcut across the beach. Anstruther golf club is 50yds away and is a little gem. All the local information is available ie where to eat. The beds were very comfy the shower excellent. We would not hesitate to both return or recommend this 5star apartment.
