The main draw of Trinity is the unusual layout - three independent apartments all joined together, allowing up to 10 people to travel together but maintain a high degree of privacy. The place is looked after well, and guests are welcomed with wine and plenty of breakfast supplies. The décor might be quite divisive and it is a way out of the city centre - both of these are worth considering but ultimately it offers an experience unlike most others when it comes to renting in Rome. *The interior design won't be to everyone's taste *The surrounding area is fairly residential and not central *There are a few signs of wear and tear around the apartment *Guests 7, 8, 9 and 10 will be on two double sofa beds in the living rooms Air Conditioning Balcony Breakfast Included Buzzer / Wireless Intercom Central Heating Dryer Fire Extinguisher First Aid Kit Hair Dryer Hangers Iron Ironing Board Kitchen Lift Access Multiple Sets of Keys Pets Allow...More Details

    Pantheon Vista

It’s hard to define the ‘perfect’ location in Rome, but Pantheon Vista makes a good go of it. Overlooking the famous dome, it’s just a stone’s throw from sights like Campo de’ Fiori and institutions like Caffè Sant’Eustachio. The interior is elegant, although the lack of natural light in the kitchen is a shame given the lovely cabinets and fittings. Two of the sofas double up as single beds, and the host is happy to have a party of four, but we think it might get a bit cramped and there’d be very little privacy, so only recommend it for two people. *There are no bedside tables *The layout of the flat makes the kitchen quite dark *Tall guests beware - the highest shower is 195cm *Wile the host is happy to have four guests, we think that it would be most comfortable with two Air Conditioning Black-Out Blinds Buzzer / Wireless Intercom Carbon Monoxide Detector Central Heating Child Friendly Coffee Maker Cooking Essentials Dishwasher Dr...More Details

    Tessellations

A simple and well-kept apartment, Tessellations shows that interiors don’t have to be flashy to bestow a welcoming atmosphere. The mattress is high quality, and there’s a spacious rainfall shower in the bathroom. While it won’t blow you away with its design, it is a very comfortable option for a couple, and the location pleasant, while still convenient both for exploring the Vatican and the city as a whole. *The kitchen is rather small and doesn't have an oven *This is a compact space - while it could theoretically hold five people, we wouldn't recommend more than three *The small bedroom/study is not separated from the living room by anything *The small bathroom has a low ceiling *The bedroom doesn't have a real wardrobe, just a clothes rail Air Conditioning Buzzer / Wireless Intercom Carbon Monoxide Detector Central Heating Child Friendly Cleaning Products Coffee Maker Cooking Essentials Dishwasher Fan First Aid Kit Fridge Hair D...More Details

    The Playhouse

Filled to the brim with unique artwork and quirky trinkets, this playful apartment embraces maximalism like there's no tomorrow. The apartment is full of colour and a sense of fun, though it's fair to say it won't appeal to lovers of neutral tones and pared-back decor. It's in an old building on one of the more characteristic streets in the charming Regola district. Several details remind you of that, such as the stone arches, vaulted ceilings and the ornate entryway at street level. Step out onto the cobbles and you're a five-minute walk from the lively Campo de' Fiori, seven minutes from the baroque beauty of Piazza Navona, and just over twenty minutes from the labyrinthine streets of trendy Trastevere. * Child-friendly amenities such as a cot, pram and highchair are available upon request *The walls are quite thin, so you may occasionally be able to hear the neighbours *The kitchen is small - it's okay for preparing snacks and ligh...More Details

    Vino Bianco

We’ll admit it *In an old building, the living room doesn't draw in much natural light *Bedrooms two and three both have a mezzanine level with extra beds - for the full capacity there'll have to be some sharing *The master bedroom doesn't have an ensuite *A baby's cot can be arranged on request, just ask your host *There is no parking with the apartment, but there is 24-hour parking a short walk away for a fee Air Conditioning Black-Out Blinds Buzzer / Wireless Intercom Carbon Monoxide Detector Central Heating Child Friendly Coffee Maker Cooking Essentials Cot / Crib Dishwasher Doorman Dryer Electricity Adaptors Extra Pillows and Blankets Fire Extinguisher First Aid Kit Fridge Hair Dryer Hangers High Chair Iron Kitchen Kitchen Utensils Laptop Friendly Workspace Lift Access Luxury Bedding Microwave Multiple Sets of Keys Oven Paid Parking On Street Self Check-in / Check-out Smoke Detector Stove Toiletries TV Umbrellas Washing Machine...More Details

    One Fish, Two Fish

One Fish, Two Fish is small but perfectly formed, with a good sense of style and a homeliness that makes it suitable for longer stays, as well as short trips. It’s set in a pretty little pedestrian square, in one of the most characterful areas of the city which gives the space a timeless feel. There are also lots of good bars and restaurants nearby - useful given that the kitchen is probably the weakest part of the apartment. *While the fireplace works fine, city regulations mean it can't be used *There's no automatic espresso machine *Guest 5 will be on a sofa bed in the living room Air Conditioning Black-Out Blinds Buzzer / Wireless Intercom Carbon Monoxide Detector Central Heating Child Friendly Coffee Maker Cooking Essentials Cot / Crib Dishwasher Electricity Adaptors Extra Pillows and Blankets Fire Extinguisher First Aid Kit Free Parking On Street Fridge Hair Dryer Hangers High Chair Iron Kitchen Kitchen Utensils Laptop Friend...More Details

    Pencil Graffiti

The palazzo that houses this apartment is something to behold. It's a wonderfully historic building that backs onto a little square and housed renowned American expressionist painter Cy Twombly for a good part of his later life. Once inside, the apartment is simple and traditional but elegant. There are plenty of eye-catching original features on display, including the stunning exposed beam ceiling and open fireplace, It lacks the personal effects of a lived-in home, which will appeal to those who tend to find Roman apartments on the busy side, but your hosts made your comfort their number one priority – the beds (and linens in particular) feel very luxurious and make getting up in the morning that little bit trickier. Explore the labyrinth of streets and you'll find yourself a few minutes' walk from the River Tiber, a five-minute stroll from Piazza Campo de' Fiori and 550 metres from the stunning Piazza Navona. * There's no lift in t...More Details

    Cornflower Lanes

Set on one of the main thoroughfares of Prati, this home has a fantastic location, with the Vatican Museums just over ten minutes away on foot. It's the same walking distance to the boutiques in Via Cola di Rienzo, as well as the Trionfale Market with its food and flower stalls. If you want to explore some more of Rome's well-known attractions, take a twenty-minute stroll to Castel Sant'Angelo, with its rooftop views over the city. Back at this home – it's comfortable and well-designed, with a calming colour scheme that is just what you need after a hectic day exploring the city. Enjoy a cup of coffee on the balcony or catch up on some work if need be (it's fully equipped for remote working). However, what really sets it apart is the host Angela, whose willingness to go the extra mile can help ensure you have a truly great experience. *There is only air conditioning in the bedrooms *Bedroom three has a single sofa bed *The other two b...More Details

    The Chocolate Box

Harking back to the grand aesthetic of eighteenth-century Italy, this remarkable apartment is all Rococo style antique furniture, original frescos, intricate coffered ceilings and rich walnut wood. Recline aristocratically on the sumptuous cream couch, nibbling olives, before waltzing out onto your private balcony—we can almost hear the plucked tones of a harpsichord in the distance. Continue your noble Italian daydream with a wander through the narrow cobbled streets, surrounded by the tall, stately buildings of the ancient Piazza Navona. And when you’re ready to return to the twenty-first century, drive ten minutes to the acclaimed National Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art and spend indulgent evenings in Michelin Starred restaurants—Rome has twenty-three to choose from. *The mezzanine level's ceiling is only 2.1 metres high so our taller guests should mind their heads *There's no lift in the building so it isn't suitable for t...More Details

    Glass Bonbon

Embracing Rome's identity as the world's oldest city, Glass Bonbon stands out for its stunning classical interiors featuring marble floors, antique furniture, glass chandeliers and traditional tapestry curtains. Elegant Roman touches adorn every room and incorporate Rome's vast history into the home's design. We particularly love the main living room's parlour-like entrance which gives way to an open space and its own bureau – perfect for guests who work remotely. Looking up at the high ceilings, notice the stunning artistic plasterwork – you'll discover that many of the original architectural features have been restored and protected over the years. When you've soaked it all up at home, it's time to venture and explore more of Rome's extensive history and breathtaking architecture. You'll be a twenty-five-minute metro journey from the city's iconic Colosseum and the ancient ruins of Rome, and even closer to Castel Sant'Angelo – a twelv...More Details

    The Spaceship

There's much more than meets the eye when it comes to this Roman retreat. Behind its historic facade lies a striking modern apartment over two levels, recently renovated and so quirky you'll want to start taking photos before you've unpacked. Location-wise, it couldn't get much better, with Piazza Navona and the Pantheon within an easy ten-minute walk. You'll enter through a traditional shared courtyard, bursting with historic features, but as soon as you open the front door you'll spot the complex, architect-designed interior – complete with structural steels, a clever mezzanine level in the building's loft and all sorts of surprising features. Think glass sections in the mezzanine floor, a metal staircase, studio workspace, angular windows and space-age lighting. But it's practical too, with everything you'll need for a comfortable stay. *While it can hold three people, this is essentially a studio apartment with a mezzanine so it i...More Details

With its quaint cobblestone streets, bearing a delightful tangle of ochre-hued architecture, artisan cafes and vintage boutiques, the residential district of Monti offers a community feel and proximity to the main sights. You'll find this home tucked away in this creative part of town, just behind Oppian Hill. Here, you're within a ten-minute walk from the Colosseum, the Basilica of Saint Mary Major and the Roman Forum. Inside, it's a timeless combination of white walls, wooden floors and high ceilings. Newly renovated interiors promise a want-for-nothing stay, especially in the bathrooms – beautifully decorated and equipped with contemporary fixtures. We especially love the open-plan living area, with its cosy lounge and fully-equipped kitchen. Here, floods of sunlight stream through the large windows, creating a peaceful atmosphere primed for relaxation. The Happy Couple

Despite its diminutive footprint, this city-centre apartment is packed with interesting oddities from all over the world. While this could lead to clashing styles in less careful hands, the design is surprisingly cohesive throughout. In addition, the apartment is set in a historic eighteenth-century building right in the middle of bohemian Monti, one of the city's oldest residential yet most soulful areas. You're in the centre of a triangle that includes the Roman Forum, Colosseum and Basilica Papale di Santa Maria Maggiore. Each of these standout sights is within a ten-minute walk of your front door. You're spoiled for choice when it comes to excellent eateries nearby – tuck into a mouthwatering menu of hearty dishes at Ai Tre Scalini, indulge in timeless classics at Roman institution La Carbonara and enjoy expertly crafted dishes and local wine at Aromaticus. To top it all off, Tania is a great host – where else would you find a fresh...More Details

    Take Flight

There are 'holiday homes' and holiday 'homes' – while the first functions as little more than a bed for the night, the second offers you a chance to experience a more authentic, everyday experience in your destination of choice. This cosy, city-centre apartment definitely falls into the latter category, and it's all the better for it. Of course, there are places you could stay closer to the most famous tourist sights, but here you have the chance to get stuck into real Roman life. Testaccio is the historic home of Rome's slaughterhouses. Once upon a time, its distinctive offal-based cuisine was served out of necessity. Nowadays, it has been elevated to a gourmet delicacy. For lunch, walk ten minutes to Trentatre, a chic cafeteria-style restaurant that serves up wholesome, seasonal dishes at incredibly competitive prices. For food on the go, pick up a trapizzino – a pizza pocket stuffed with sweetmeats. Alternatively, grab a seat at Chec...More Details

    Violet Haze

Just a four-minute walk from the Roman Forum and nine minutes from the Colosseum, it makes sense that this home, located in Monti, is set in the first neighbourhood of Rome where the city is said to have been founded. Today you’ll find winding cobblestone streets, craft shops, bustling bars and traditional restaurants lining the charming alleys and squares that end in beautiful churches and Roman ruins alike. Returning home, the stately entryway to the building feels like a grand hotel, and inside your apartment, you’ll find an authentic space bursting with style. Exposed wooden beams and Roman arches are paired with elegant furnishings and your host’s careful eye for detail. After a day on your feet, kick back on the plush purple sofa before retiring to your bedroom – which even has its own little cloister. You’ll also have a private patio, with a beautiful stone fountain and plenty of greenery for a breath of fresh air in the morning ...More Details

    Soft Pastelli

In a little old palazzo in the heart of Trastevere, Soft Pastelli is a sweet apartment - not massive but plenty of room for what it is. The walls are painted in lovely pastels, giving it an old-fashioned (in the best way) feel and each bedroom also has an en-suite, so there’ll be no waiting for the shower. The only real issue with Soft Pastelli is the lack of natural light, which is a very common problem in the neighbourhood due to the old buildings and narrow alleyways. *There isn't a real dining table in the apartment, just a counter along a wall. *When we checked, the kitchen wasn't particularly well stocked. *While it's only on the first floor, there's no lift in the building. *There isn't a lot of natural light, particularly during bad weather. *Guests six and seven will be on a sofa bed in the living room. *Expect to hear some noise from the second bedroom's A/C.*It's worth noting that the mattresses here are on the firmer side...More Details

    Parchment Scrolls

Parchment Scrolls oozes classical Roman style. There’s a wonderful mix of antique elements, like the ceiling beams or the painted doors, and more modern fittings that give it a sense of balance. It’s also in a fantastic position, in the cobblestone lanes of Ponte, and right opposite the grand Church of San Biagio. All of these blessings manage to outweigh the only real problem, which is the second bathroom. It doesn’t have the best ventilation, and the shower is only 190cm high, but we think that it’s forgivable given the rest of the space. *The air conditioning is only in the bedrooms and living room *The second bathroom isn't especially well ventilated - there's just a small extractor fan *Guests 5 and 6 will be on a sofa bed in the living room Air Conditioning Bathtub Black-Out Blinds Blender Board Games Buzzer / Wireless Intercom Cafetiere Carbon Monoxide Detector Central Heating Cleaning Products Coffee Maker Cooking Essential...More Details

    Monochromotherapy

Monochromotherapy's position between the Piazza di Spagna and the banks of the River Tiber makes this home perfectly placed within the heart of the world's oldest city. Just a twelve-minute walk will have you at Rome's most beloved water feature, Trevi Fountain – from here, descend the Spanish Steps back to the famous square, only a five-minute stroll from your cosy home. Back inside, from the moment you enter you'll notice the black and white photographic wallpaper prints adorning the walls, that we really loved – there's a charming retro feel around the apartment. Plus, a pair of fancy bathrooms – complete with chromo-therapeutic rainfall showers to soak your aching tootsies after a day spent wandering this ancient part of the world. Enjoy mapping out your afternoon's tourist itinerary around the stylish dark wood dining table with a tipple of limoncello in hand. Boughs is hard to do justice without experiencing it first-hand. It’s all about the living room, with its wooden beams and terracotta tiles making it a really warm and welcoming space. In comparison, the rest of the flat seems underwhelming - the kitchen’s a bit small, and the bedroom a little spartan - but most things would struggle to live up to that living room. And if that weren’t enough, there’s a level of care that’s gone into the hosting experience at every level, from the mattresses to the toiletries provided. *The kitchen is quite old and very small - it doesn't currently have a freezer or a dishwasher *The interior is on a few levels - you'll have to go up some steps to get to the kitchen or the bedroom *Guests 3 and 4 will be on a sofa bed in the living room Air Conditioning Balcony Black-Out Blinds Board Games Buzzer / Wireless Intercom Carbon Monoxide Detector Central Heating Child Friendly Coffee Maker Cooking Essenti...More Details

Cascades is an interesting place - functional and modern, with a few features that really set it apart, like the sleek fireplace in the bedroom. There’s also a stunning bathroom with a three-metre-high, chromotherapy-enabled shower. The design might come across as a bit cold, given the expanses of white and the lack of artwork, but the bed is really comfy, and there’s always the home cinema system to keep you entertained.. *While the apartment can theoretically hold four, we think any more than two adults and a child might start to feel a bit cramped *There's lots of white space - stay away if you're after bric-a-brac Air Conditioning Baby Bath Black-Out Blinds Buzzer / Wireless Intercom Carbon Monoxide Detector Central Heating Child Friendly Coffee Maker Cooking Essentials Cot / Crib Dishwasher Dryer Extra Pillows and Blankets Fireplace First Aid Kit Free Parking On Street Freezer Fridge Garden Hair Dryer Hangers Home Cinema Setu...More Details
