Castellana Charm
It's no mean feat creating a pocket of calm in the midst of a bustling capital city, but this effortlessly chic apartment does just that. With a monochromatic style of shiny black and white, plus a few olive green highlights and plenty of natural wood, this home-from-home is the ideal spot to kick back and relax after a day taking in the sights and sounds of Madrid. Making great use of the space, the sociable open-plan living area features a sleek kitchen with high spec appliances, while a dining table with breakfast bar stools is the spot for sipping morning coffees and catching up on the day's news. Cleverly designed, the sliding barn door makes for a seamless transition into the bedroom, benefitting from plenty of natural light, beamed ceilings and exposed brick walls. Outside, there's a traditional area filled with life. The vibrant neighbourhood of La Latina is home to tapas bars, cantinas and street-food stalls. *There are sofa-b...More Details

Located in the heart of Madrid’s exclusive Golden Mile neighbourhood – where upscale boutiques line the city’s most fashionable streets – this sophisticated apartment is a true reflection of its luxurious locale. We love how the design has contrasted soft pastel shades with high-gloss metallics to create a dazzling display of colours and textures in the open-plan living space. Open up the French doors here to perch by the Juliet balconies – a coffee or a glass of wine in hand – and gaze upon the hustle and bustle of your privileged postcode below. The long, elegant dining table beckons Spanish soirée over homemade tapas and cocktails (prepared in the marble-accented kitchen) while the two bedrooms are stylishly pared-back to give you a comfortable and peaceful night’s sleep. When you’re not relaxing in your plush pad, hit the high-end boutiques and cafés on your doorstep or make a beeline for El Retiro Park, a fifteen-minute walk away. ...More Details

The most remarkable thing about Espinas is the quiet. Despite having three balconies, and being in the middle of Lavapiés, the street it looks onto is actually fairly calm. The building is old, and a lot of the original structure features prominently in the flat, which has been designed to complement the space, rather than dominate it. There is some pretty loud wallpaper though, which stops the design from falling into the dreaded ‘neutral’ category. *Even though there's a lift, it stops in between floors so you'll still have to take thirty-two steps to reach the flat*There's only four spots on soft furnishings in the living room*The kitchen could do with a bit more crockery and glassware*Two people can sleep on a double sofa bed*Some of the beds don't have reading lights beside them Air ConditioningBalconyBlack-Out BlindsBuzzer / Wireless IntercomCarbon Monoxide DetectorCentral HeatingCoffee MakerCooking EssentialsDishwasherDryerExtr...More Details
Nestled in the vibrant Lavapiés neighbourhood, where you’ll find medieval streets lined with lively Indian restaurants, authentic Spanish tavernas and cultural centres, lies this minimalist apartment. Granted, it isn’t the most soulful, but if you need a practical base, it fits the brief. Since it’s a studio, all four guests will share the space – two of which will be sleeping on the sofa bed. And while the terrace is somewhat overlooked by the neighbouring buildings, it’s still a lovely spot for a post-sightseeing glass of wine. *At full capacity, two guests will sleep on the sofa bed. Since this is a studio apartment, all four guests will share the same space. *This home was purpose-built for rentals, so it's not the most soulful or charming space. The kitchen feels a little dated. *This home is in a residential building. Expect to bump into your neighbours during your stay. *You won't find a desk here, but the dining table doubles u...More Details
