To be honest, we knew we’d like this north Devon home when we heard about the country pub just two minutes' walk away but when we got here: wow! This is an immaculate and spotless cottage, newly renovated and decorated to provide everything guests need for a friends or family escape. We were particularly impressed with the number of living spaces – a family room, conservatory and study (for those working from home) as well as a living room and kitchen/diner. And there’s a large patio and cottage garden out back, for bright breakfasts and sunny afternoons. The hosts have thought of every eventuality: for when it’s raining there’s the smart TV, DVD player, movie library and games collection, while the wood-burner fireplace and newly installed underfloor heating ensure you’ll feel snug even on cold nights. Kids are especially well catered for with travel cot, step stool, high chair and junior dining chair as well as games, books and bath t...More Details

The brainchild of a celebrated interior designer, this North Devon townhouse has got it all figured out. Located a couple of minutes’ drive from Croyde beach, where you’ll spend long days surfing and soaking up the salty sea breeze, the inside of the home is beautifully sophisticated, with subtle nautical nods—we loved the knot wallpaper and delicate fish shoal light shade. The bunks in the children’s room will be a hit with mini swashbucklers, while the pizza oven on the patio should keep big kids quiet for a while. You’ll find the pretty village of Croyde a five-minute amble down the road, offering a charming selection of tea rooms, ice cream parlours and thatched pubs. After a hearty roast dinner, retreat home to the outdoor hot tub before turning in for the night in those luxurious king-size beds. *The maximum number of adults this home can sleep is six *The home is split across many levels so wouldn’t be suitable for those with l...More Details
