115 km to the north from Rovaniemi, 17 km to the south from Sodankylä municipality center, river Kitinen 70 m, hard-bottomed and rocky beach, water level varies, own rowing boat. The main building of Portin pirtti is an old idyllic log house. The house was built in 1946, and it has 140 m² of area. The main building has a large living room with sofa bed, kitchen, chamber with 2 bunk beds (lower bed is 120 cm wide and upper is 80 cm wide) and hall. The kitchen of the main building has been renovated and fully equipped in 2016, there are dishes for 30 people. In the outbuilding (built in 1975, area 80 m²) there is a chamber with 2 bunk beds (lower bed is 120 cm wide and upper bed is 80 cm wide), sauna, washroom (2 showers), dressing room and 3 WCs.
