Located in the central neighbourhood of Navona, this apartment guarantees a well-connected stay for all its guests. From here, you'll be within a short walk from St Peters Square, Piazza Navona, Campo di Fiori, and the Pantheon, with countless restaurants and bars on your doorstep to try out. The interiors are charming and there's plenty of space to sprawl out and relax – the best spot being up on the private roof terrace. Enjoy alfresco meals in the sunshine while taking in views of the Castel Sant' Angelo. It's worth noting that there's no lift here and you'll need to climb a fairly steep and narrow staircase to reach the entrance of the home. *There's no lift here. This apartment is in an ideal location for culture vultures. It’s a fifteen-minute walk to the myriad museums and galleries of the Vatican and five minutes to the ancient Castel Sant’Angelo. The streets around buzz with local trattoria and pizzerias and, after sunset, the wine bars chatter to life. With all that activity on your doorstep, you’ll want a soothing haven to return to, and this pristine white apartment is exactly that. Pot plants, tapestry art and a raw wood dining table are natural accents against the otherwise pure white motif and built-in bookshelves show off a precise collection of global trinkets. Long, typically Roman windows flood the place with sunlight making it a joy to wake up and enjoy another day in the Italian capital. *The third bedroom is quite small, and doesn't have any storage space or bedside tables*Eight guests would be a lot, given the size of the communal areas and the two bathrooms*There's a small b...More Details
The quantity of blue on display in Neptune isn’t for the faint-hearted. In all seriousness, it’s this theme that actually elevates the place and makes it unique. It’s certainly small – the lack of a living room isn’t ideal, it’s true – but the decorations, largely inspired by the hosts travels, are all rather tasteful, and contribute to the individuality of the place. The location’s also worth mentioning – it’s not particularly central, but the Basilica of San Giovanni in Laterano is right there, as is the Egyptian obelisk, which is the largest in the world. *There's no living room – the only communal space is the kitchen*Air conditioning is only available in the bedrooms*If you're staying on May Day, be aware that the square is the centre of the festivities in the cities Air ConditioningBuzzer / Wireless IntercomCentral HeatingDishwasherDryerHair DryerIronKitchenLift AccessMicrowaveMultiple Sets of KeysNetflixRain ShowerTVWashing Mac...More Details

Simply put, Paparazzi is stylish, well-kept and right in the middle of Rome. Domenico is incredibly attentive as a host, and always ready to help, and while there are a few issues that we found, the majority were unavoidable given the age and positioning of the building (fairly slow wi-fi, for example), and the positives far outweigh the negatives. The apartment has been redone recently and you can really tell, particularly in the bathrooms, which feel very modern and sleek. *The apartment's in a narrow alleyway, so it doesn't get much natural light*Not every bed has a bedside table*When we visited there were a few of signs of carelessness – a couple of bulbs had gone and the sugar was in an open packet*There's no lift in the building, so be ready to haul your bags up the stairs*Not all windows close fully – expect to hear some street noise from below*We think the kitchen could be stocked with more crockery and utensils Air Conditioni...More Details
Flavian's Terrace
Simple yet practical with an emphasis on comfort and privacy, rather than any delusions of grandeur, this home offers a humble stay that provides a relaxing atmosphere to return to after action-packed trips out in Rome. Where the apartment really comes alive is in the personality of the space. Strange as it might seem, the home has something of a sense of humour and playfulness that manifests itself in the design and decorations. Mid-century furniture creates a rather European set-up as it's clear from the moment you step inside that you're on holiday in Italy. House plants, terracotta bedroom walls and quirky artwork set the scene for an authentic stay with bags of character. Since Rome's world-renowned sights are all within close reach, you'll have an idyllic base from which to explore the city with ease. Take a ten-minute stroll to Villa Borghese or hop on the easily accessible bus and tram lines to visit tourist attractions further ...More Details

Being on the top floor of an apartment building often, although not always, brings two perks — good views and plenty of daylight. This home in the Campo Marzio neighbourhood of Rome delivers on both fronts, with large windows gazing out over the city's rooftops. We have a lot of good things to say about the interior, from the sumptuous four-poster bed to the sleek black kitchen. There's even a terrace on which to start the day with coffee and breakfast. Location-wise, a first-time visitor to Rome couldn't wish for better. Many of the big-hitters are within walking distance, while there's also a fresh food market around the corner from the building should you want to stock up on authentic ingredients for an Italian feast. *There's a very slight slope to the floor in some rooms*As you're right in the heart of Rome, you can expect a lot of tourists on the streets below, although it does quieten down at night*The apartment building has a l...More Details

Wild Bunch
Beautifully kept, elegant, and filled with plenty of natural light, this charming home just fifteen minutes from the Vatican City really caught our eye. To stay here is to move into an authentically Roman home with a bucolic-styled kitchen, complete with a blue-tiled backsplash and sunny dining spot by the patio doors. Cosy up with a good book in the refined living area, while taking in the ornate mirrors and silver lighting. But the real highlight of this apartment is the private balcony – it's the perfect spot to unwind with a glass of wine after a day spent sightseeing. Speaking of, the home's located away from the intense crowds and excited tourists in the quiet area of Aurelio, and yet getting around the city is easy with the nearest metro station a short two-minute walk away. Take a twenty-five-minute stroll to the Sistine Chapel or head in the other direction, and be at the Piazza Navona in thirty minutes – whichever way you turn...More Details

While you’d initially not expect anything out of the ordinary, once you step off the street you can see why Elmer is so special. Beyond the pretty internal courtyard, there are small, multi-coloured accents all over the place, from the figure of a bull on the shelf to the kitchen tiles and the beautiful bathroom sink. It is on the small side, but two would be perfectly comfortable (it can hold four, but you’d have to be ready to share your personal space). *There isn't a lot of privacy in the flat - there are no doors between the bedroom, hallway and bathroom*There's no espresso machine because the host thinks that making a coffee in a moka is an integral part of the Italian experience*Guests 3 and 4 would be on a sofa bed in the living room*The TV doesn't have English channels Air ConditioningAmazon PrimeBalconyBlack-Out BlindsBreakfast IncludedBuzzer / Wireless IntercomCarbon Monoxide DetectorCentral HeatingChild FriendlyCoffee Make...More Details
