 *I'll amend the price upon your inquiry message accordingly. Katsura Imperial Villa (桂離宮, Katsura Rikyū) where it was built to watch the moon is 15 minutes walking. Also passage systems to the cities are connected very well. Our house is located within 5 min walk of Katsura station on the Hankyu line.you takes less 7 min from Katsura station to Arashiyama(嵐山) ,takes only 15 min to Gion(祇園) and 20 min to JR Kyoto station. Hana house was Kimono designer's house. I produce the traditional craftsman of Kyoto, and the craftsman of the various types of job is a friend. My wife is an organic food manager and is good at cooking. And she makes clothes and dolls with kimono cloth. Since we like antiques, I will introduce elegant Kyoto that can only be experienced in Kyoto and that general tourists do not know. Please enjoy the culture of Kyoto with us. We will help you.

Kenji-san and kyouko-san are the perfect hosts! The kindest people and always available for any question or request - one of the highlights of my trip was meeting them and learn about Japanese culture and their life. The room is very spacious and the futon is very comfortable with heated mat for when it's cold. Also, breakfast made by kyouko-san was delicious, and was tailored to my likes/dislikes. I'll definitely be back whenever I get a chance!

My brother and I really enjoyed our stay. Kenji and Kyoko were really accommodating and the futon beds were very comfortable. The bedroom was lovely and they have a very beautiful, traditional Japanese home. Kyoko also made us a fantastic breakfast on our first morning which we both thoroughly enjoyed. They are a lovely couple and really wanted to communicate with us and used good English. Their house is also essy access to the train station. We would definitely stay with them again!

The house is extremely well located! The hosts were very nice! The breakfasts were amazing and we even received a bento for our departure. The conversations were very pleasant and full of good recommendations of places to visit or eat. And we could even speak a little bit of Japanese Don't hesitate to come!

The hosts were very warm and friendly. We got to see Kyoto in a rare (once in 5 years) snow storm. Which was very pretty. But it did also mean some things were closed. But we did get to know our hosts a bit better. Their art is cool! They took care of us during the storm and they gave us a rare dinner due to the storm. We had great breakfasts which was picture worthy and really good. I mispronounced some words in Japanese. It sure wasn't a scary breakfast I hated! haha :) They were very understanding of my amateur Japanese. We got help folding clothes and were shown where to hang our clothes. We were in the 4 person futon room with 4 of us. I was comfortable with the amount of room. They had heated pads they showed us how to use to make our futons warm in the winter. Those futons were great on my back I slept like a baby. They speak English but rely on a translate app for more complex things. You should have no problem learning the how things work in the house in spoken English. But if you want to get to know them better. Either bring out your Japanese or use the translate app. The location is not far from the train. Affordable prices. Would recommend! :)

I enjoyed my stay with Nobura , Kenji and doggie Lucky. They were very nice and helpful, extremely accommodating, and we had breakfast every morning. As Nobura is a professional chef, it was fancy indeed. The house and room were fun to experience, and less than 300 meters from the train station. Although the public transport is VERY quick and easy, I gave 4 stars instead of 5 simply because the location is slightly farther to get to, if you are looking at gardens, as I was. I wholeheartedly recommend staying with them.

We had a great stay with Kenji! (Nobara's husband). We really enjoyed the experience of staying in a traditional local home. Kenji was very helpful with giving us directions and advice to see the sights of Kyoto with good english, with a lovely breakfast too. House location is great aswell with a train station very close by. Would highly reccomend to anyone!
