White Cardinal
In the middle of Salamanca, and with El Retiro park at the end of the road, White Cardinal is in a great location for exploring Madrid and doing some high-end shopping. It’s a simple flat, without much flash, but it’s comfortable, and the kitchen is very well equipped, particularly for a space of its size. The windows face an internal courtyard, which is both a blessing and a curse – a bit of natural light is sacrificed, but it also means that there isn’t as much noise as if the street were directly below.
*The grouting in the shower could do with a bit of love
*Some parts of the flat can get a bit dark
*The wallpaper designed to look like exposed bricks is a strange design choice
*Two people can sleep on a double sofa bed in the living room, but there wouldn't be much privacy or much space left over
