Tucked into a rock ledge, thick with moss and ferns, Hemlock \u0026 Cedar is the perfect getaway if you want to get back in touch with nature. It’s in a secluded part of the Catskills, just beside Ashokan reservoir, and the setting is reflected in the cabin itself. The beams are made of hemlock, and the siding is charred cedar. Despite the remote, off-the-grid feeling, the home is actually very modern. It has an induction hob, central heating and air conditioning, and even high-speed internet. For the most part, though, you’ll want to be outside with the abundance of wildlife and native plants.
*The hosts live in a separate cabin on the same land, but there’s a rock ledge for privacy between the two homes
