Transport yourself to the early 20th century in this elegant Art Nouveau villa. Perched on sloping hills above the sea, this architectural tribute is a retreat that pampers its guests. Enjoy a long and lazy breakfast on the terrace fringed with palm trees, birds of paradise and climbing plants, then spend the rest of your day reading in the gazebo or lounging by the teardrop pool. In the evening, round up the gang for freshly grilled seafood and heady Ligurian wine as the sun sets and the ocean breeze washes in. We love the decadent interiors of the villa – think pinstripe wallpaper, sea green bathrooms, French doors leading to tiled balconies overlooking the sea, and the grand central staircase with an iron wrought bannister by the Italian artist Alessandro Mazzucotelli. If you can tear yourself away from your private paradise, the beaches of Sanremo are a mere 5-minute drive away, and you will find plenty of restaurants excelling in the local cuisine. Should you explore a bit further afield, Nice, Cannes and Monaco are all within an hour’s drive – experience the glitz and glamour of the French Riviera before returning home to your palatial stay.
*The pool is open from the last Saturday of April until the first Saturday of October (with the opportunity for heating and preheating at an additional cost)
