Quiet Hideaway On St Steven Square

CENTRAL INDEED: STEP OUTSIDE THE BUILDING AND THE BEAUTIFUL BUILDING OF ST STEVEN BASILICA IS RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU. Enjoy the peaceful morning while sipping on your espresso next door and watch as the city wakes up. No need to worry about beating the crowd when you are staying with us. We are located at one of the must see locations in Budapest.
The square is only open for pedestrians that makes our apartment very quiet. Metro, bus and trolley lines, underground garages are all within 5 minutes walking distances from our building. The Danube, Chain Bridge, Parliament Building, Shopping Street are also in 10 or less minutes walking. You could rent bikes on the square or hire a collage kid with his/her rickshaw to take you around.
Free WiFii included.
Saint Steven Square is a perfect starting point for sight seeing. You look at Budapest's grand building, the Basilica, when you step outside. It is a appealing and fun location with many performances during the day and lively night scene after dark.
The apartment is on the 4th floor (Yes, Elevator) that allows light and air in. It opens from the private courtyard with no through traffic in front of us. That keeps the place private and quite.
Easy access to 24/7 ATMs and grocery stores.
Your biggest bonus is that your host will be Judit, my sister. She has been renting her apartment nearby and received stellar reviews for her hospitality and kind personality.
She will arrange your taxi reservations and walk you through the apartment with many great info on Budapest upon your arrival. She will help you to find fun destinations as well as to historical sights.
We are offering our place at a very reasonable price...Lucky you:-) Only in our first year.
See you soon and have a pleasant trip!

The apartment is located directly in the center of budapest. Every touristically relevant place is reachable by foot. Also there are very good restaurants just literally around the corner. The host was very warm and friendly and provided us even with a detailed map of the city center with informations about restaurants, museums, grocery stores etc. The apartment was clean and tidy and lovely decorated.

Judit's gorgeous apartment was a huge part of what made our week long stay in Budapest so enjoyable! The location is beyond perfect, it is literally situated in the historic square of St Stephen's magnificent cathedral. It is hard to believe that you could be in such a prime location as normally areas such as this are unaffordable. The area is upmarket, surrounded by vibrant bars and cafes and only a short stroll to the Danube. From here many places can by reached by foot and all transport is really close by so a really perfect base to explore the city from. Aside from the ideal location the apartment itself is lovely. High ceilings make it very light and airy and the interior is very tasteful and comfortable. Traveling with my mother we made use of both the double bed and the sofa bed in the living room and we were both very happy. The kitchen is small but perfectly formed and very well equipped, it made our stay much easier being able to cook a few meals and their are plenty of small supermarkets a few minutes from the apartment. The owner Judit was amazing from start to finish, she provided us with loads of information for our stay and even organised our taxi transfers to and from the airport which I would highly recommend! I think this flat is just amazing value for money and we loved staying here, if you are after comfort and a quiet retreat set in the most fabulous location you will not be disappointed!

My husband and I rented this apartment for two weeks on a recent trip to Budapest, and we were exceptionally happy with it. The apartment is in a perfect location at Szent István bazilika [St. Stephen’s Basilica], which means that it’s in easy walking distance to many major attractions in Budapest. The location is very convenient to the metro and tram lines, and to bus service. A major Metro station, Deák Ferenc tér, is a short walk away. You’ll find many restaurants, bars, souvenir shops, and grocery stores in the area. The apartment itself was very clean and well-kept. It’s exactly as pictured on the Internet. The apartment is located at the back of the building, so it it’s perfectly quiet and we weren’t bothered at all by street noise. Security for the apartment is wonderful. The kitchen was well-stocked, and the bed was comfortable. Although there wasn’t air-conditioning, the apartment was cool enough, even on hot days. You can always open the windows for some breeze, and turn on the ceiling fan…this worked very well for us. The washer came in very handy, as my husband is a runner and needed to wash his running clothes every day. You won’t find many clothes dryers in Hungary, so an ingenious clothes line has been set up in the bathroom…just be careful not to let go of the rope! The elevator in the building was great to have. Remember to close the door behind you, as it works on a sensor. If the door doesn’t close properly, the elevator won’t work for others. There is free Wi-Fi in the apartment. One of the owners we met, Judit, was a pleasure to deal with, and her English is excellent. She was quick and reliable with communication by email, and then by text when we were in Budapest. She was very pleasant! She met us at the apartment so we could get the key, and she personally walked us through the whole apartment to explain a few things. Judit was also able to arrange an early morning taxi ride to the airport for us at the last minute when my cousin wasn’t able to take us as planned…the driver she arranged was prompt and the price was fair. Our security deposit was returned by Judit through PayPal before we even got home to Canada! We would highly recommend this apartment. Thank you, Judit, for your kindness, and for helping to make our stay in Hungary a trip we’ll never forget! We hope to be back…

I travelled to Budapest for 2 weeks with my daughter and mother and we stayed in this charming apartment the whole time. It was so central and convenient which made our stay very enjoyable. We were able to walk to most places we wanted and the metro/buses were very close as well.. We loved being right on the Square and felt so much a part of the city. Was a great place to stay, loved it there. Judit was very helpful and friendly, thanks for all your help!!

It was a best choice to us to enjoy Budapest for 2 weeks. Apartment was homely, clean, modern and well equipped with a very pleasant host, Judit. As a hungarian who live in abroad was a surprise how pleasant is the city now, especially this part of town where mentioned apartment located. It is convenient to get around on the trams, buses and underground, you can reach easily most of tourist attraction of the city. St Istvan Square is full of nice cafes, restaurants and the nightlife is good too, but not too much. We would recommend this to anyone.

The apartment lived up to our expectations fully. Our host Judith was extremely helpful, and provided us with an extensive, home made list of great sights and restaurants, as well as a nice welcoming present. The location of the apartment was perfect. Not far from public transport, great sights, nice cafés and restaurants and just by St. Stephen Square where we enjoyed the summer evenings with a glass of wine on the steps of the St. Stephen Basilica. Thank you for a great trip to your wonderful city.

One Bedroom Apartment in an excellent location within walking distance to everything you would want to see in Budapest. We found this apartment met all our requirements. A washing machine to do our laundry after a river cruise, a lift for our luggage, a great shower and a warm greeting from Judit with a bottle of wine on our arrival. Judit was able to answer all our questions and advise us where to shop, eat and relax. We wanted to book a train to Vienna which she showed us where to go and offered to call a taxi for us on day of departure. Our refund bond was back in our account before we arrived home. Thank You Judit for all your assistance.

This apt is really central and the host Judith is a sweetheart. It is very clean and has all you need for a vacation rental. Few markets just a few steps and lovely café right downstairs where you can enjoy the sitting in from of St Steven Square. At night is very quite and all day long inside the apt. A lot of restaurants and wine tasting lounges/ bars right by it. Busy at night but at the same time relaxing. Wi-Fi is really good. Also has an elevator. Bed is big and comfy but it is a small bedroom. Transportation very close with 3 lines of subway and trams. Very short walk to the Danube river.Just missing a rack you can use to hang your clothes in the balcony so dries faster. It has a hanging clothes inside the bathroom but it take long time to dry the clothes. I recommend this apt for you stay in Budapest don't miss it.

The place was exactly what we had in mind for our short stay in Budapest. The location is amazing, very close to all the main attractions, grocery shops, etc. It is a very clean apartment, well equipped, and we had fantastic communication with the owner. Thank you Judit for the list of your favourite places; we managed to check off a few items off the list, but are definitely considering coming back to explore the beautiful city of Budapest again and staying at your apartment. We travelled with 2 children, age 12 and 6 and we all had a great time.

The apartment was perfect for us: 3 adults. The only addition I might suggest is another fan for in the summer- even a small one to help with air flow at night to bedroom. The location was perfect, Judit was kind and helpful, the apartment was clean and comfortable. Nearly everything you'd want or need was within walking distance. If I return to Budapest, I'd rent this space again!
