As an Xmas gift we treated the family to a weekend at 'The Brook'. Everything about this house is first class, the whole family enjoyed their stay. The board games were a huge hit for my 8 year old, wi-fi for the 16 year old, relaxation for us, the grandparents enjoying everyone being together and off course Poppy the dog, who made our weekend complete. A truly gorgeous home that has been lovingly restored to the highest standard. Thank you to the owner Rosemary, we loved it

We booked "The Brook" for a 40th wedding anniversary surprise and it exceeded our expectations. Rosemary has thought of every little detail that guests would need for their stay. The house was luxurious, charming, cosy and very comfortable for all three generations. It was perfect for this family celebration, especially at this time of year with all the homely Christmas decorations. All in all the perfect home from home!!!!

Just returned from a short break at the brook. My husband and I visit fermanagh whenever we can and have stayed in various different properties, including the highly rated hotels. I must admit that this property is my new favourite. The house is cosy yet spacious and has a very homely feel. Thanks Rosemary

This is a truly beautiful house. The renovation was obviously a labour of love, and her taste is exquisite as well as perfectly in keeping with the house itself. The house was exceptionally clean, well equipped and always surprising.

We booked a girly weekend away at 'The Brook' and had a fab weekend. We arrived and got a warm welcome from Mary, who showed us around. The house is beautifully presented and well equipped for every eventuality. The bedrooms were comfortable and decorated tastefully. There was a well equipped kitchen if you fancy cooking and if not the house is about 13 miles from Enniskillen and a few miles from Fivemiletown so there is plenty of options for day and night. We really enjoyed our short break and we're already planning our next break.

Just returned from a three night break at The Brook with our four children aged from 10 years to 10 months. House was beyond our expectations in so many ways, despite having read the excellent reviews. The children loved the large garden and spent many happy hours playing on the play equipment and exploring the wooded area to the side of the house. The house itself is just breath taking. Obviously there has been a great deal of time and thought, and finances, involved in the restoration but the results are just incredible. Each room provided a wow! Will definitely be returning and even the children asked on the first night if we could sell our own home and buy it!! We feel like we've been away a week to a 5* hotel and enjoyed our stay so much more than a stay in a large hotel in Enniskillen! Thank you Rosemary.

I had a wedding to go to in Enniskillen so I booked this House for me and a group of friends. It was hugely cheaper than staying in the hotels, even including the price of taxis. The house is lovely, every room is beautifully furnished. The owner, Rosemary, was so helpful on the lead up to our stay, giving me directions, recommending taxi firms etc and even baked us some delicious bread for our arrival! Check in and check was so simple and straight forward. We had a great weekend at The Brook. I will defintely reccommend this house to anyone heading to this part of the world!

What a gorgeous house, so beautifully interior designed and furnished. Our stay was way too short to fully appreciate everything on offer and so we hope to return in the future. There are 4 bedrooms, one en-suite (double), another double, one with a bunk bed arrangement plus another on the ground floor (twin beds.) There's a garden outside with a large table and chairs to dine al-fresco. Not too far from Enniskillen and so ideal for enjoying this part of the world. A real find, can't recommend highly enough.

Just back from a really lovely stay, owner really friendly and accommodating, spotlessly clean and welcoming with the aga lit and the endless supply of logs for the wood burner. Some really lovely touches with fresh flowers all over the house, homemade wheaten bread, jam and eggs waiting for us. The house is really well equipped, we would highly recommend. Thank you Rosemary for making our stay so enjoyable.

We spent the most wonderful, relaxing week at 'The Brook' at the beginning of April. The countryside location is truly beautiful and, as previous reviews have stated, the cottage has everything you need - down to the dishwasher tablets & tea towels! We travelled with our two young children aged 2 & 5 and they had lots of fun playing with the board games and toys found in the lounge. Also, upon arrival Rosemary had kindly left them some chocolate eggs as we were approaching the Easter holiday - a thoughtful touch :) We will definitely be returning to 'The Brook' in the not too distant future!

Rosemary has created a glorious retreat for those wishing to visit the area. From the quality of the furniture and finishings, the luxury of the beds, the delightful courtyard etc. No stone has been left unturned to do all she can for her guests. You simply will not get better value elsewhere. We cannot wait to return to The Brook

We stayed for a week at The Brook with two small childen (4 and 1), my partner and I, and my in-laws. The Brook was just a beautiful house to stay in for the week. We had bad weather (not that surprising) but it really didn't make that much of a difference, as it was such a pleasure to be in the house. It had everything we could have wanted, was to an immaculate standard, (the photos don't do it justice!) and it really felt that it was Rosemary's loved and cared for home. Lots of lovely details, well furnished with some nice touches, very homely and also a lot larger than I was expecting. Rosemary from the first contact was warm, friendly and couldn't have been more helpful. Even though my in-laws struggled to find the property with thier old sat nav, Rosemary was kind and helpful when they called during her working day. On arrival we found some really lovely generous little touches- local milk, cake, bread, and a few other bits to settle us in. Also I had been a bit chaotic before leaving and so hadn't planned quite as much as I should (eg not really checking what time we had to leave on the last day) but Rosemary was fine at me getting in touch to arrange during our stay, and couldn't have been more flexible. We had small children and the property was great for this. A travel cot (very clean and new) was provided, as well as great bunk beds. My children loved the kids rooms. There were quite a few books and puzzles for children too of various ages. Outside (if you get the weather) there is a swing, slide and climbing frame, plus room out front to play bat and ball. I didn't find a stair gate but then we didn't need one for our age children. There was a TV in every room, including bedrooms, and plenty of room to go and have some space away from others, it didn't feel like we were all living on top of each other. The property is a bit closer to the main A4 road than I had realised (hadn't really looked at a map, doh) but really didn't hear much noise from it, even though we were in the bedroom a the front. Every room has some beautiful touches, particularly enjoyed the luxurious bathroom with a great bath to relax in, and the woodburning stove in the sitting room, which was so cosy in the evenings. Wifi was provided, a good sized kitchen to cook in (we did a roast for 8 easily), as well as logs for the stove etc. All in all, a great place to go and relax and have a quiet week away from it all. Would thoroughly recommend, thank you Rosemary for your brilliant Irish hospitality.

Weekend stay in June, thank goodness for gorgeous wood burner and plentiful logs and warm aga as it was a typical NI summer weekend, wind and rain! The house is amazing with so many period features and modern luxuries. Outside area brilliant and safe for the kids with great potential for exploring and lovely courtyard to sit in when the sun came out for 5 mins.

We stayed for 2 nights in March. This is a very attractive property, well appointed with excellent facilities and beautifully decorated. Lovely clean crisp white sheets and an range. It's located to the west of Enniskillen about 15 minutes away. There is a Tesco (open 24 hours) that's close by just on the outskirts of Enniskillen. The house is on the A4, great access to the rest of the county, a little noisy if you're a light sleeper, but otherwise a great location. Sleeps 8 comfortably, and I must say one of the nicest holiday homes I have stayed in. Highly recommended

I just returned from a stay here with my wife, mum and dad, my sister her husband and 2 kids (4 and 7) and 3 dogs between us! The house is easy to find just 2 miles outside Fivemiletown on the road to Enniskillen. We stayed over the Easter break and our host had left little Easter cookies and mini eggs for the kids which was a nice touch, plus loads of toys and board games which the kids loved. The house is an old 1700's home which has been recently refurbished to a high standard and feels lovely and relaxing. There is everything you need for self catering plus a great wood burner and also wifi which while not super fast, was more than fast enough for use to watch Now TV/Netflix etc. just bring a Chromecast and iPad or whatever device you have with you and you will be sorted. Plus there are DVDs and Freeview supplied. From a location point of view you are beside fivemiletown which has a few small convenience stores and then Enniskillen is not far which has larger Tesco type shops. We also went to the National Trust property Castle Coole which is about a 20 minute drive away as they had an Easter Egg hunt for th kids, but is also just nice for a walk or to tour the big house. The only downside to this house is that the windows are all single glazing, which cannot be helped as I imagine they are not allowed to upgraded due to planning restrictions with it being so old. You are about 50 yards away from a fairly busy road and so the traffic can spoil the silence if you are after a very quite country retreat, but it didn't bother us. I would recommend for families. And they are dog friendly which is a big plus :)

We stayed here in early June. The house was beautiful, we actually nicknamed it the doll house it was so gorgeous. We stayed here with two children and four adults. Rooms were amazing with plenty of room for everyone. There is a small outside play area for the children to play on. The kitchen was well equipped and easy to cook a family meal in. The fire in the sitting room created a beautiful ambience. It was a pleasure to stay at this holiday house.

We had a lovely few days at The Brook. It is beautifully furnished with comfortable beds and all you need for a delightful visit to this part of the world. It is close to the main road, so does not feel secluded, but we didn't notice the traffic and the views from the sitting room window are still delightfully countryside.

Stayed here for a weekend with friends. The renovation of this building has been very tastefully done with great attention to period detail. This cottage has everything you need for a self catering break, but if you feel like going out, Fivemiletown has a couple of nice bars and Eniskillen is only a taxi drive away.

This is our second stay at The Brook and we love it. A wonderful welcome of fresh flowers, yummy sweet treats and a toasty warm Agar keeping the cottage warm. Such a wonderful cottage with big comfy beds, fantastic lounge room, great kitchen, good showers and a fantastic bath. Great for families with a large grassed area and playground for the kids to burn off steam.

I have stayed at the cottage around 4 times now and will definitely be back!!! The cottage is a credit to Rosemary and reflects her own personality... she is so easy to deal with and always puts an extra touch to make your stay more personal. So much character in the cottage and the attention to detail is second to none.

We stayed at The Brook with our children for five nights in July 2018. Initial impressions were great ....... stunning house with some beautiful furnishings. Problems came to light pretty quickly, though. The wooden strip joining the landing floor to the master bedroom floor wasn't stuck down and came off, causing me to trip. Not the best start. The owner had the strip stuck down when I made her aware. The master bedroom furnishings were lovely, but let down by what looked like ear wax stuck to the headboard. The bedding was beautifully soft and clean, with the exception of the throw on the bed, which was stained in a few places with what looked like blood. The en suite was beautifully fitted, but the toilet needed a good clean. There was a terrible smell of sewers from the en suite, which would come and go. The only other problem with the bedrooms was that the bottom shelf of the wardrobe in the room with bunk beds was thick with dust, which left marks on our clothes. The sitting room had a beautiful wooden floor, but it was spoilt by the fact that it needed a really good clean. I wiped a piece of damp kitchen roll on the floor and the dirt on it was evident. Again, the furnishings in the sitting room were beautiful, with the exception of two small arm chairs which were very badly worn. In all honestly, I wouldn't have them in my own home, let alone a 5* holiday let. The dining part of the kitchen features an absolutely stunning restored Aga cooker and is floored in beautiful flagstones. The dining table is covered by an oilcloth which had dried-in food stuck to it. Plenty of place mats were provided, but they needed cleaning. One in particular had dried-on food stuck to it and another had been badly defaced. When I told the owner about these, they were removed. On the table was a vase of white Carnations. They would have been lovely had a lot of them not been dead and withered. The owner replaced these with fresh flowers during our stay. The kitchen has lovely painted units and granite work surfaces. The fridge/freezer is large, though the shelves needed a wipe out before we placed our food inside. When heating sausage rolls, we removed an oven tray from the cupboard to place them on. It was ABSOLUTELY FILTHY and thick with charred food. Even the owner agreed that it was disgusting. Another item, a large glass bowl, was covered in dirty marks. The kitchen, in general, wasn't too bad, but more attention could be paid to ensuring crockery is clean and replacing chipped crockery. The housekeeper had forgotten to replenish the dishwasher tablets, but this was easily solved by us purchasing some. The family bathroom features a beautiful roll top bath, corner shower unit, wash hand basin and toilet. The toilet cistern had become loose from the wall and needed securing. Replacement toilet rolls weren't provided, so we had to buy some. We hadn't been made aware that the water heater in the property didn't work and only found out when the shower in the en suite was cold for our morning showers. When we enquired, the owner told us that the water heater had never worked and that we should heat the water by the hot water button on the central heating controls. One evening, it became a little chilly, so we put the central heating on. After being on for two hours, there was very little heat in the downstairs radiators. They were barely tepid. Upstairs was laid with lovely wooden floors (which appeared to be cleaner than the sitting room floor), but there were several large gaps between the boards which really spoilt the look. The property is situated on a very busy road, so a lot of road noise is to be expected. All in all, we were very disappointed with our stay at The Brook. The cleanliness was very poor and attention to detail very lacking. More upkeep was definitely required. The owner did leave us a bottle of wine, but it was too little, too late. It was most definitely not the 5* experience promised in the advertising! We found the property to be 3* at best, with cleanliness scoring 1*. Included are photographs showing some of the issues we encountered. Most definitely not worth the considerable amount of money we paid for our stay.

This is a great spot to relax when on the Enniskillen area. Large enough for 6 adults and two kids. The house combines the charm of the 19th century with the comforts of the 21rst. Great and attentive host Rosemary looked after us and made sure we had everything we needed.
