This place was a great find. The accommodation was spotless and had everything we needed. Being a flat in the house of a Japanese family gives many of the advantages of a home stay (if desired), with all the privacy and seclusion of a private apartment. Masahiko and his family were superb hosts, never intrusive but always on hand if needed. The area around the apartment was a delight to explore and we spent many days in the area, taking long walks to parks and shrines and enjoying the many local restaurants. We also found it very easy to get into the centre of town via the metro, which is minutes away. All in all, this was just the right place for us.

This spacious apartment was just two minutes walk from the metro and bus stop, and ten from the overground station. There are convenience stores, restaurants and supermarkets close by, and a buzzing high street ten minutes away. The area around the house is quiet, and road noise did not intrude at all. Our host provided everything we needed to for our two month stay; amenities were renewed and the apartment cleaned regularly. In the 35 degree heat of August the a/c worked perfectly, and transformed itself into an efficient heater when we got down to the low teens in mid October. The in-house wi-fi was excellent, and the mobile router provided was sometimes a great help! One of the best things about our stay was getting to know our host, who speaks good English and is a real gentleman. He never minded helping us with information and advice about his city and its customs, nor about practicalities such as how to post a parcel. We were touched that he met us at the station on arrival, and even took us to the airport on departure. It was a pleasure to be in his house, independent but knowing that our host would be there if we needed. We can recommend this apartment with no hesitations at all.

This apartment is located on a quiet street with all the conveniences around. Metro Station is~ 50 meters away. Tokyo is ~20 minutes away via train. Apartment was clean and has all the amenities. Host, Masa is a very nice gentleman and assisted us with directions and other queries. He also came to the station to pick us up. It was a great location. We had a fantastic stay at this place and enjoyed every minute of it.

I had lived in Japan many years ago and knew my way around well, I knew the size of place the Japanese live in and I knew what would be comfortable for me from Canada for my 18 day stay. I particularly enjoyed and rediscovered the art of the bath with a good sized tub not so common elsewhere. Masa’s apartment would suit a couple or small family for a long stay very well. It had every amenity you would need. It was clean, spacious and he was extremely helpful if ever I asked for help. Being on the Asakusa line was a big bonus and only a few stops from the JR made it easy to get around. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again and hope to do so in a few years time. Thank you for your kindness Masa.
