Chapel Cottage / Dog Friendly

Chapel Cottage is ideally situated in the heart of the community and within easy reach of all amenities. There are excellent pubs and restaurants serving good food at reasonable prices and all within easy walking distance. The beach which is only 5 mintues walk away is set in a sweeping bay with a back drop of mountains which can be seen in the distance.
The cottage is set in the grounds of an old chapel and overlooks fields to the rear. It is very peaceful and quiet and there is an outside patio area for relaxing and barbecues. Inside there is a wealth of character with beamed ceilings and a large open fireplace for those cold winter nights. The front door opens into a quaint living area with a slate floor and stairs leading to two large bedrooms: one double and one twin. The kitchen is fully fitted with an oven, fridge, microwave and washer dryer. The dining area seats up to 4 people but additional chairs can be made available. The large family bathroom houses a bath and shower cubicle with a separate toilet being being next door. Although the cottage only has two bedrooms there is a double sofa bed in the living room which could accommodate two further people.

Just returned from a fantastic week in Chapel Cottage . The cottage had everything that we needed. There is a lovely sitting area which has the sun in the evening this is enclosed so my grandson was safe to run around. The shops , restaurants and pubs are in easy walking distance . The beach is about 5 mins away or you can drive there plenty of parking

Beautiful cottage hidden behind the chapel. The owners have modernised this traditional cottage in a sympathetic and contemporary manner, so we immediately felt at home. We had a lovely welcome card and bottle of wine on arrival and the owners very quickly dealt with any queries we had. I would thoroughly recommend this cottage and we will definitely be staying again. It is very well equipped and didn't feel like a rental property at all. The owner's parents live next door in the converted chapel and gave us a tour of their home - we couldn't have asked for friendlier neighbours. The open stairs didn't give us any problems, but might be an issue if you are elderly or travelling with young children. Our first visit to Criccieth and won't be our last.

The cottage is situated on the main road through Criccieth but it's behind the old chapel so there is only minimal noise in the little patio area and no noise at all inside. Theres a little pathway up the side of the chapel to get to the cottage. Inside its very cosy and the central heating made it lovely and warm on the cooler days. . Criccieth is pretty small but we were in close proximity to 3 pubs, several restaurants, the post office, bakery and other shops. The beach and castle are just a short walk away. Would be happy to return.

First impressions were very good. Unfortunately as the week went on we noticed the cottage was full of damp and that are clothes were also becoming damp. We were booked in until Friday but had to leave a day earlier because of the condition of the place.

I stopped here with my two sons for a short break. The cottage was very well equipped with everything we needed. There was even some fresh milk waiting in the fridge upon our arrival. It was a little tricky to find as very much tucked away. But very central to shops, lovely caf├ęs and restaurants. The only negative was there is no parking near the cottage , although you can park on the high street .

This could be a really lovely cottage. It's location is a gear asset. The photo of the cottage is taken from next doors garden. There is no garden as such. See photos attached. The sell when walking into the cottage was awful. We could not identify where the smell was coming from! No amount of plug in air fresheners could hide the smell and believe me, there were many. After cleaning everywhere ( although the cottage was not dirty) I resorted to a hands on knees approach. The smell was from the rug and the sofas. We lasted until Thursday and came home :( the lady who lives at the beautiful chapel is adamant and quite righty so that the gate must be shut to prevent her dogs getting out onto the road. Please may I suggest that you get your gates mended so they can be closed properly.

Fantastic cosy cottage with the most beautiful stone fireplace. The owners have equipped the cottage with everything you need. Separate toilet and huge bathroom are downstairs. Large kitchen, really cosy lounge with comfy sofas and 2 large bedrooms. Only downside is no parking although we parked at the railway station and the car was fine. Communication with owners is fantastic. Would definitely recommend

Very nice cosy cottage. Very quiet, easily accessible, tucked behind a Chapel on the High St. Parking not a problem, just around the corner near.
