    Look At You

Brimming with natural light, Danish design furniture, as well as a lovely garden that invites you to spend time with your loved ones, Look At You is one of those homes you’ll never want to leave. It is a family home to perfection, and it has a modern, fully equipped kitchen with everything you need to cook up a feast. While there’s only one bathroom, we love that it has both a bathtub and a shower, a rarity in Copenhagen. Located in peaceful Frederiksberg, charming Værnedamsvej is close by, and so are the lakes, a popular spot to go for a walk. *It’s a lived-in home – expect to share the space with some of the host’s belongings*As two of the bedrooms are set up for children, we recommend this home for a family*The master bedroom isn’t super big – you can only access the bed from one side*The single bed in bedroom two is actually a bunk bed – it’s only the top bunk that’s in use though BarbequeBathtubBicyclesBlack-Out BlindsBoard Games...More Details

    Antique Fantastique

Set against the backdrop of a typical Copenhagen apartment, Antique Fantastique comes to live through its swanky feel. A mix of minimalist style and family heirlooms, you get the best of both worlds, modern and old. It’s very characterful – and we love how Anne-Charlotte has customised it to her style, with the gorgeous blue kitchen cabinetry, and a bed that also doubles as a desk. Located right by Sortedams Lake, you’re in great hands when it comes to things to do – The National Gallery of Denmark is close by, as well as the Botanical Gardens. *It’s on the second floor with no elevator – not everyone will love the free work-out*A dog usually lives here – it won’t be around during your stay, but allergies might be an issue*It’s a lived-in home, so there won’t be a lot of space to unpack your suitcase in the bedroom BalconyBarbequeBuzzer / Wireless IntercomCarbon Monoxide DetectorCentral HeatingCoffee MakerCooking EssentialsDishwasherD...More Details

    The Emerald Scallop

Carefully curated, The Emerald Scallop really reflects the host’s personality. Brimming with characterful details like the wall of art, gold plated walls and plants, it’s full of personality and charm. The bedroom is secluded and quiet with views onto the communal backyard, which is accessible to guests. We can’t get enough of the bathroom – just look at that scallop sink, gold ceiling and emerald seashell floor. Frederiksberg isn't the centre of Copenhagen, but it's a posh neighbourhood with plenty of upscale restaurants and quiet streets. * This second-floor home doesn’t have a lift, so you’ll be climbing the thirty-two steps with your bags* The host isn’t much of a film fanatic – there’s no TV in this home* There’s only one bedroom so guests 3 and 4 would be on a sofa bed in the communal area* One of the bedrooms, belonging to the host’s daughter, isn’t available for guests to use Buzzer / Wireless IntercomCentral HeatingDishwasher...More Details

    The Light of Home

This home has gone all-in on the bold and clean design aesthetic, with large windows letting in plenty of light, creating a refreshing atmosphere. We adore the black matte kitchen – ready for you to cook up a storm to enjoy on the velvet tan seats while overlooking the charming city. Recognised as the happiest city in the world – that had to be telling you something, and even better, you get to experience it.Tivoli Gardens, a thirteen-minute walk away, has 19th-century depictions of the Orient and provides a magnificent spectacle with thousands of colourful lights in the evening for you to enjoy. There is no city in the world that loves cycling more than Copenhagen, so rent a bike and go riding, heading to Nyhavn, a place you won't forget, with its brightly coloured gabled townhomes, salty boats, and frothy beer to savour while taking in the view. For some high culture, spend the evening at a jazz club or the Royal Danish Theater. *At ...More Details

    Light - Grace

The Danish have perfected the art of minimalism and when it comes to showcasing how it’s done, this beautiful home makes a perfect example. With its soft tones and traditional features, there’s a sense of effortless ease here. The open plan living and kitchen are simple and functional yet also stylish - making the perfect spot for breakfast or dining with friends. Set in the heart of Copenhagen, this home sits in front of the historic department store Magasin Du Nord. This is a great place to take notes on quintessential Danish style. Wind your way through the streets and explore some of the historic sights of this area - such as the seventeenth century Rosenborg Castle Gardens, only six-minutes on foot. There’s also a metro stop a hundred meters from your door, making it easy to connect with the rest of the city. After a day of exploring you’ll love coming home to relax on the private roof terrace. *There is no private parking here, b...More Details

    Harbour Charm

Set in an inner courtyard belonging to the iconic Nyhavn Harbour, this design-savvy apartment is right in the thick of things. Part of a grand period building, while the shared entrance is pretty unremarkable, inside this home is a real gem. The living area is light-filled, and two of the elegant bedrooms have inter-connecting doors – handy for family sharing. There's also a single sofa bed in the lounge for teens who'd rather not share. The communal courtyard and playground are a nice touch, too, for when the sun shines down on Denmark's capital. *This home sleeps seven guests, with the last guest sleeping on a sofa bed in the lounge. We think this bed is better suited to teens or for a short stay. *The apartment building has no lift access, so be prepared to climb some stairs. *There's only one bathroom, so prepare for some waiting around in the mornings. *This home is in a central spot, so expect to hear some street noise. *Your h...More Details

    Magical Realism

There’s something very Scandinavian about Magical Realism – and yet, it’s not Scandinavian at all. The use of colour is bold and not something we see often in Copenhagen, but the references to nature through materials, textures and the more downplayed hues remind us of Scandinavian forests and fjords. It’s right in the heart of Copenhagen, so you won’t have to walk far to experience Nyhavn, Kongens Nytorv or Strøget – a downside to its central location is that it might get noisy at night. *This home is old and typical of this part of Copenhagen – expect some sloped ceilings and uneven floors*There’s no space on the side of the bed in bedroom two as it’s been made to fit into the corner*The home has a peculiar layout – you have to walk through bedroom one to get to bedroom two*The windows are not soundproof – expect to hear some noise coming from the street*Both bathrooms are a little tired-looking, they could do with an update*Since th...More Details

    Beech - Ash

This home has gone all-in on the bold and clean design aesthetic. While it might feel a bit sparse to those who prefer personal touches, the Danes don't mess about when it comes to clean lines and functionality. The bedrooms have a bright and open feel, with the master enjoying direct access to a shared outdoor space, while the second bedroom boasts some ornate wood panelling as a nod to the age of the building. It's seriously central, making it an excellent base for exploring the city on foot. With a view of Strøget (Copenhagen's main pedestrianised shopping area), you couldn't be better placed to spend some of those krone burning a hole in your pocket in all the uber-chic boutiques. Sample some of Copenhagen's history by visiting the Rundetaarn – the oldest functioning observatory in Europe is a five-minute walk – while Nyhavn's many waterside eateries are ten minutes away. * Two of the guests will be sleeping on a sofa bed in the co...More Details

    Copenhagen Urban Retreat

It's not every day you get to stay a five-minute stroll from a century-old wooden roller coaster. This studio apartment near Tivoli Gardens, Europe's second-oldest amusement park, is a real find. If you prefer more genteel thrills, there are gardens here and some fantastic restaurants. Like the theme park, this studio has a few ups and downs. There's a king-size bed to relax on when you return, but no sofa (there are a couple of chairs, though). The kitchen is also very compact, with little food preparation space, so we'd say it's best suited for preparing light meals like smørrebrød. *This is a studio apartment with no lounge, though there are a couple of chairs and a dining set. *There's a shared garden here. *The kitchen is compact, though there is a hob and microwave. We think the kitchen is better suited to prepping lighter bites than large meals. *If you're travelling with little ones, your host can provide a high chair for free....More Details

    Nordic Climate

Close to the lakes and located in vibrant Nørrebro, Nordic Climate represents something that’s quintessentially Scandinavian. A mix of vintage furniture (especially Danish mid-century design), green plants, different types of wood, and industrial touches, it’s artsy, young, and stylish. The kitchen is wonderful, we can easily tell that Mikkel loves cooking – and with a terrace to enjoy a delicious cup of coffee from the professional coffee machine, what more could you want? *There’s currently no home manual – you may have to ask for help on how to use the appliances*It’s a lived-in home, expect to share the space with some of the host’s belongings*This home is on the fourth floor with no elevator – not everyone will enjoy the free work-out*The bathroom is split into two – with the shower and WC in two separate rooms*The building’s facade is currently undergoing construction*If you're staying for a longer time, the host asks that you he...More Details

    Timeless Treasure

Set in Copenhagen's design district, with happening art galleries and wander-worthy antique shops all within walking distance, it's no wonder this apartment's central location is a huge highlight. While the listed apartment building's exteriors are charming, the home's minimalist interiors aren't overly characterful and a little unconventional in places. Expect high ceilings in the living area, compact bedrooms with quirky internal windows, and a pocket-sized kitchen better suited to breakfasts and lighter bites. But with a bakery next door and restaurants aplenty close by, we don't think you'll mind. *The second bedroom has twin beds which can be joined to make a double if you prefer. *Both bedrooms are small, with limited storage space. It’s also worth noting the bedrooms have internal windows, which are for decorative purposes only and do not open.*You won't find an oven here – though there is a hob. Transitions in Pink

Tucked back from the hustle and bustle of the ever-popular harbourside hotspot of Nyhavn, this spectacular apartment ranks among our favourites in the city. A large open-plan living area is the focal point of any stay here, with a sleek handleless kitchen, a typically stylish mid-century dining table and chairs, plus a comfortable seating area. It's lined with windows along one side, letting in plenty of natural light during the day. When night falls, elegant pendant lights illuminate the space.Stride out into the picturesque pocket of the city. This 17th-century canal, lined with colourful houses and stunning sailboats, continuously tops lists of Copenhagen's must-see sights, and it's easy to see why. But, while it may attract the tourists, there's no doubt that the locals love it just as much, and you'd be hard-pushed to find a better spot in the city to enjoy a cold beer on a warm summer's afternoon. To the east, a bridge connects you...More Details

    Velvet Underground

Situated a five-minute cycle ride from downtown, this trendy apartment is close to the heart of the action yet set apart enough from the touristic throngs. Inside, it’s full of charming details and harmonising colours—the jewel-blue sofa, neon orange cushions and yellow Pop Art banana make for a visually pleasing combination. The dinky kitchen is set up for quick meals at home, but when you’re in the food capital of Scandinavia, eating out is impossible to resist. Copenhagen is one of the most bike-friendly cities in the world so getting about is a piece of cake. Rent your own set of wheels and take the six-minute journey to the Danish masterpieces in the Hirschsprung Collection or pedal ten minutes over the river to the picturesque Christianshavn neighbourhood. Oh, and your home is located right on the Crown Prince’s preferred biking route, so don’t be surprised when he whizzes past you on his bicycle! *Storage space is limited in thi...More Details

    Nordic Dream

As expected for an 18th-century Copenhagen home, the layout of this large and oh-so-stylish studio is a little kooky. One bedroom with a handy desk nook is tucked into the eaves on a mezzanine, so it's not the most private of spaces. The living area, which houses a sofa bed for two guests, forms part of the main bedroom. And while the balcony is a bonus, it's pocket-sized. But you can't quibble with the location. Set slap bang in the middle of Indre By, you're within walking distance of all the city's must-sees. Get off to a flying start at the shopping mecca of Strøget – it's right outside your door. *This home sleeps six guests, with the last two guests sleeping on a sofa bed in the living space, which is adjoined to the main bedroom. It's also worth noting the second bedroom is located on a mezzanine level, so it isn't overly private. *The second bedroom has restricted ceiling height in some areas. *This studio is located on the thi...More Details

    Postcard from Indre By

If you're looking for a Copenhagen bolthole that delivers on both style and location, this Indre By apartment should do nicely. While there is heaps of space for everyone to spill out in the free-flowing living areas, the stylish yet compact bedrooms may be a let-down for some. Prepare for some waiting around in the mornings, too, with only one bathroom. Although with a light-filled dining area for lazy breakfasts, what's the big rush? Set in a lively area of Indre By, expect some street noise. But that's all par for the course for a home this central. *This home sleeps ten guests, with the last two guests sleeping on a sofa bed in the fifth bedroom. *Although there’s everything you need for a comfortable night’s sleep, the floor and storage space is limited in some of the bedrooms. Locations really don’t get much better than this. It's rare to find a property this close by to the picture-perfect Nyhavn district, with its brightly coloured gabled townhouses. Find a sunny spot outside at a quayside café or hop on a boat for one of the many canal tours that start here. As the evening draws in, take a pre-dinner stroll along the waterfront, then duck into one of the many restaurants and bars that line the canal. You could call in on the Queen too, she lives just around the corner. And when it’s finally time to retreat inside, you’ll find a contemporary place that invites you to be social. The communal area is the heart of the home, offering plenty of space for your tribe to hang out, cook, and eat. Copenhagen does not get more central than this. Located right on Strøget, Ice Black is a lovely compact, clean and modern apartment. This city-centre apartment is seriously chic – we absolutely loved its minimalist Scandi vibes. The communal area is open and bright, offering plenty of space for all six guests to hang out together. There are thoughtful touches like vintage illustrated posters hanging on the wall above comfortable furniture from New Scandinavian Design maestros, Bolia. The glass-walled bedrooms are definitely a novel touch and create a strong impact. They certainly won't be to everyone's taste, but all have velvet curtains to pull across for some privacy when needed. With views onto Copenhagen's main shopping street, Strøget, you couldn't be better placed to hit the luxury boutiques and independent shops when the mood takes you. Plus, you're not far from the colourful waterside bars and restaurants of Nyhavn or the high culture of the Royal Danish Theatre – a little over a five-minute walk away. * Located right on Strøget, it can get a bit noisy with ...More Details

    Hygge Tales

Size and style come in equal measure at this Copenhagen apartment. It's perched along the famous shopping mile, and most of the must-see sights are just a stroll away. A great option for a multi-generational family stay, each bedroom is as light-filled as the next, and the living spaces are palatial by inner-city standards. It's worth noting there's only one bathroom here, and four guests will be sharing the last bedroom – fine for family sharing, but it won't suit everyone. Expect street noise from time to time, too – but that's all part and parcel of central Copenhagen living. *At full occupancy, one guest will sleep on the sofa bed in the living area. It's small, so we think it's best suited to a child. The third bedroom also has space for four people – while great for a small family sharing, it might not suit everyone. *While this home only has one bathroom, the shower room and toilet are separate, so they can be used at the same t...More Details

    Sage Advice

A whirlwind of green hues, this snug home brings an instant smile to our faces. It's warm and comfortable, with a large dining table perfect for sharing family meals and a cosy sitting area where you can kick back and relax with a glass of wine and Netflix. A small collection of books and board games only add to the homey feel, as do the large windows which flood the lounge with natural light. One of the bedrooms is rather tiny and the bathroom isn't the biggest we've seen, but the brilliant location more than makes up for it. We love this area's historic charm and quiet streets, yet buzzing restaurants, cafes and shops are all a short stroll away. You're also within walking distance to many of Copenhagen's most beloved sights – Amalienborg Palace, Nyhavn, The Little Mermaid, Frederik's Church, you name it, chances are you can get to it easily. Best of all? The Danish queen lives just down the road, so if it's good enough for royalty, i...More Details

    Master of Light

There’s no place like home… Until you’ve stayed in Master of Light that is. Casual luxury at its finest, it’s Copenhagen at its best. The location is extraordinary – you’re right besides Nyhavn, the city’s most famous postcard motif. And we can’t get over the design. Alexander clearly has a passion for Danish design, with works by Bang \u0026 Olufsen and Hans J. Wegner adorning every corner. There’s also a fantastic rooftop terrace with a nine-person hot tub, sun beds and a lounge arrangement, plus fantastic views of Copenhagen's historic buildings. *The roof terrace is only accessible via stairs *Alexander also offers an extra hot tub package with bathrobes and additional towels at a price of 1500 DKK per day Air ConditioningAmazon PrimeBalcony / Rooftop TerraceBathtubBuzzer / Wireless IntercomCentral HeatingCot / CribDishwasherDryerFireplaceFreezerFridgeHair DryerHome Cinema SetupHot TubIronIroning BoardKettleKitchenLaptop Friendly ...More Details

    Cowboy Poetry

Parts of Cowboy Poetry feel like a British pub (complete with a cool Italian globe bar and leather armchairs), while other parts carry unique references to the 1850s building that the home is located in. Both Masculine and Scandinavian, Cowboy Poetry has a lot to offer, especially in terms of its appealing location in posh Frederiksberg. Even though the home doesn’t have a coherent design aesthetic, it’s clear to see that it’s a treasured home with plenty of character. * Even though this home has a tumble-dryer, it’s currently not working* When we visited, the wi-fi wasn’t as fast as we would like it to be* You can only access the bed via one side* This is a lived-in home, so be prepared to share the space with some of the owner’s belongings* The walls could do with a lick of paint* The bedroom is on the smaller side* Response time from the host can sometimes be a bit longer due to him travelling when he’s renting out his home * There’...More Details

    The Gantzel Studio

Let’s start by saying something obvious from the outset – this Copenhagen penthouse is one of the most impressive apartments we’ve ever seen! Louise's eye for design, detail and hosting is extraordinary – she can even arrange for a private chef if that’s something you’re in the mood for. The home's interior is pure Scandinavian chic, with plenty of natural materials, sculptural light fittings and elegant furniture throughout. Through to the bedrooms and the neutral decor and blackout curtains making switching off at the end of the day an effortless experience. And if you thought that was the end of it, wait until you see the huge rooftop terrace – at over 2,500 sqft, it has to be one of the largest in the city. Its sheer size combined with views of the water, old Copenhagen, and the many modern buildings in Islands Brygge ensure that we can’t think of anywhere we’d rather be. And while it's true you won't be staying right in the heart o...More Details
