    Order of the Elephant

Ideally located and only two minutes from Amalienborg Palace, this stylish and immaculate home with plenty of space. With four bedrooms, two living spaces and an open-plan kitchen/dining area, large groups will be very comfortable here. The glass-walled bedrooms might leave you feeling a little exposed, but they are a cool design feature that adds a unique feel. As well as being close to the Queen's winter residence, you're also only a five-minute walk from the iconic canalside district of Nyhavn. It's the perfect place to while away a long summer's evening. Either with a cold one on the quayside like the locals or at one of the many restaurants overlooking the old tall ships. * Heavy packers be aware – there’s not a lot of space to unpack your suitcases in the bedrooms* Even though the glass walls are a cool design feature, it might not be to everyone’s taste to have a transparent wall between private and communal spaces* Convenient s...More Details

    Silver Bear

This city-centre apartment is seriously chic – we absolutely loved its minimalist Scandi vibes. The communal area is open and bright, offering plenty of space for all six guests to hang out together. There are thoughtful touches like vintage illustrated posters hanging on the wall above comfortable furniture from New Scandinavian Design maestros, Bolia. The glass-walled bedrooms are definitely a novel touch and create a strong impact. They certainly won't be to everyone's taste, but all have velvet curtains to pull across for some privacy when needed. With views onto Copenhagen's main shopping street, Strøget, you couldn't be better placed to hit the luxury boutiques and independent shops when the mood takes you. Plus, you're not far from the colourful waterside bars and restaurants of Nyhavn or the high culture of the Royal Danish Theatre – a little over a five-minute walk away. * Located right on Strøget, it can get a bit noisy with ...More Details

    The Conrad

Split across two levels with a wooden ladder connecting the two, this two-bedroom home is ideal for younger travellers looking to be right in the centre of Copenhagen. Even though it lacks in entertainment options, you’ll not have to worry about finding things to do because The Conrad is situated in a repurposed office building on top of Strøget, Copenhagen’s busiest shopping street. * Plant lovers beware - the home is filled with fake plants* There are only two proper bedrooms, so guest 5 and 6 would be on a sofa bed in the living room* The flat is definitely on the smaller and more functional side* It’s an open loft style flat with no doors and an open mezzanine that houses one of the bedrooms, so expect little privacy* The wooden ladder leading up to the mezzanine bedroom is very steep and has no rails, so it’s not suitable for toddlers or older guests* Be aware that this floor is located on the 3rd floor with no elevator, so you wi...More Details

    Harbourside Story

Even though Harbourside Story is a little characterless in terms of style, it’s in a brand new building with plenty of modern amenities. This part of Sydhavnen isn’t the liveliest part of Copenhagen, but if you love a fresh sea breeze, you’ll feel right at home here. You can swim, fish and kayak on your doorstep – but you might have to take the S-train to go out for dinner. * There’s currently no home manual – you’ll have to ask for help on how to use the appliances* When we visited, we noticed some scuff marks on the walls* Tall people be aware – the shower is only 195cm tall* There’s only one bathroom for five guests* The host won’t be there to meet you, you’ll have to pick up the keys from their office – it’s about 30 minutes away by public transport* This isn’t the liveliest neighbourhood in Copenhagen – but you’re close to Copenhagen’s harbour BalconyBuzzer / Wireless IntercomCentral HeatingCooking EssentialsDishwasherFree Parkin...More Details

Slightly raised above Copenhagen’s busiest shopping street, Strøget, Pantomime is right in the action. We love the cosy window seat that allows you to enjoy all the hustle and bustle from a quiet afar. It might not be luxurious, but it has some cool features like the industrial-style wall divider, marble-clad bathroom and the retro Vissevasse posters. Due to its size and sleeping arrangements, this home is well-suited for a small family or group of friends that enjoy each other's company. * The design is on the simple side – it feels a little like a hotel and it's not luxurious* This home is right next to Strøget – you might be able to hear some noise coming from the street below now and then* Guest 3 and 4 would be on a sofa bed in the living room* There’s currently no home manual – you’ll have to ask for help on how to use the appliances* When we visited, we noticed some scuff marks on the walls here and there* There are some fake pl...More Details

    Science Fiction

Filled with personal artwork and trinkets, Science Fiction is extremely characterful. It’s the kind of home where you feel like you get to know the host, even though he’s not around. It also has high ceilings, beautiful stucco detailing, and a hammock for lazy days. The immediate area is full of things to do. Østerbro is incredibly family-friendly, especially if you’re looking for lovely green parks, artisanal bakeries, and charming restaurants. *It’s a lived-in home – expect to share the space with a lot of the host’s belongings (toys, photos, clothes)*The bathroom is a little tired–looking – there’s no shower curtain and the shower is also handheld*The walls could do with a lick of paint to cover up scuff marks*It’s on the fourth floor with no lift – be prepared for some up and down*The rooftop is shared between all residents of the building*The bed in bedroom two is very narrow*If travelling with children, the host can provide two a...More Details

    A Royal Affair

With the Queen Margrethe as your next-door neighbour, it’s no wonder that the two-bedroom home has a grandiose and illustrious feel. The combination of the lively colour palette and the contemporary Scandinavian design mixed with lavish textures makes A Royal Affair a one-of-a-kind home that also places you in one of the most central locations in Copenhagen. If you fancy a traditional Danish meal, Nyhavn is just around the corner, but you can also just stay in to take advantage of the picturesque surroundings. *Since the floorplan was created, the dining room has been turned into the third bedroom*Your keys will be left in a lockbox, so there won’t be a personal meet and greet* As the host is updating it, there is currently no home manual* The fireplaces are purely decorative* Some windows don’t open for security reasons* It’s a ground floor flat, so don’t expect expansive views of Copenhagen* The bathroom has an open shower* There is ...More Details

    Modern Art

Positively brimming with colour and personality, this funky pad is Danish hygge at its best. It also oozes character, thanks to Sophie, our host, being a psychology student/painter – and showcasing many of her own vibrant artworks throughout the flat. She also offers an extensive fashion and art book collection for guests to choose from, plus there's a lovely private balcony for a spot of afternoon reading. Enjoy meals in the quirky dining area, with chic lighting, Eames-influenced chairs and brickwork wallpaper, that creates an industrial-styled space. Splashes of colour are painted on the home's blank canvas of wooden floors and whitewashed walls to make for a modern and artsy apartment that really packs a punch. In true Copenhagen fashion, the bathroom isn’t luxurious (it’s actually rather small), but we’re willing to look past that as the rest of the home is so charming. Outside, Frederiksberg is on the fancier side, so it’s especia...More Details

    The Magic Flute

The Magic Flute is rich in history. Located just off lively Nyhavn, the building dates all the way back to 1658 (there’s a plaque at the entrance detailing all the owners throughout the years). With crooked, creaky floors, it’s oozing old charm – and paired with Matilde’s artwork, instruments, and personality, it becomes one of a kind. She’s an opera singer and works just down the road in the Royal Opera House, which only makes this home even more special. *It’s a lived-in home – expect to share the space with the host’s belongings*There’s only one bathroom for five guests*While it sleeps five people, one of them would have to be on a sofa bed in the living room*The wifi is a bit slow*Bedroom two and three are set up for children – with top bunks and lots of toys Central HeatingChild FriendlyCoffee MakerCooking EssentialsDishwasherFreezerFridgeGardenHair DryerHangersIronIroning BoardKitchenKitchen UtensilsLaptop Friendly WorkspaceLibr...More Details

    Beech - Ash

This home has gone all-in on the bold and clean design aesthetic. While it might feel a bit sparse to those who prefer personal touches, the Danes don't mess about when it comes to clean lines and functionality. The bedrooms have a bright and open feel, with the master enjoying direct access to a shared outdoor space, while the second bedroom boasts some ornate wood panelling as a nod to the age of the building. It's seriously central, making it an excellent base for exploring the city on foot. With a view of Strøget (Copenhagen's main pedestrianised shopping area), you couldn't be better placed to spend some of those krone burning a hole in your pocket in all the uber-chic boutiques. Sample some of Copenhagen's history by visiting the Rundetaarn – the oldest functioning observatory in Europe is a five-minute walk – while Nyhavn's many waterside eateries are ten minutes away. * Two of the guests will be sleeping on a sofa bed in the co...More Details

    Marguerite

Locations really don’t get much better than this. It's rare to find a property this close by to the picture-perfect Nyhavn district, with its brightly coloured gabled townhouses. Find a sunny spot outside at a quayside café or hop on a boat for one of the many canal tours that start here. As the evening draws in, take a pre-dinner stroll along the waterfront, then duck into one of the many restaurants and bars that line the canal. You could call in on the Queen too, she lives just around the corner. And when it’s finally time to retreat inside, you’ll find a contemporary place that invites you to be social. The communal area is the heart of the home, offering plenty of space for your tribe to hang out, cook, and eat. The industrial-style windows flood natural light through the apartment by day, while the plush velvet curtains allow privacy at night when it’s time for some shut-eye. * Your keys will be left in a lockbox, so there's no ...More Details

    The Green Market

Don’t let the graffiti on the front door scare you off, The Green Market is a little haven in young and trendy Nørrebro. Located on the fifth floor, it’s got a loft-like atmosphere with plenty of green plants, vintage furniture and fun artworks. We also love the exposed wooden beams that add a charming touch to this little home. Since it is a studio apartment, it’s especially great for young couples or travellers looking to be in the epicentre of all things cool. It could feel a little cramped – but for what it lacks in size, it makes up for with its charismatic atmosphere. * This home is located on the fifth floor with no elevator – be prepared to climb 99 stairs to reach the apartment* The balcony overlooks busy Jagtvej – it could get noisy when there’s a lot of traffic* It is a studio apartment – don’t expect lots and lots of privacy* There’s currently no in-person check-in* The kitchen is right next to the bed (as seen in the photo...More Details

Copenhagen does not get more central than this. Located right on Strøget, Ice Black is a lovely compact, clean and modern apartment. A beautiful marble bathroom and chic black finishes really make this home feel high end, and the big windows in the living room add a luminous feel. That said, it does verge on feeling like a hotel, so if you’re looking for a proper lived-in home for your stay, this one might not be for you. * The building has no elevator, so to reach the apartment you need to use some stairs *Guests 3 and 4 would sleep on a sofa bed in the living room *Even though the glass wall is a really cool design feature, it doesn't allow for much privacy in the bedroom or the living room *As it's located right on Strøget it might get noisy at times* The home has a hotel feel to it Carbon Monoxide DetectorCentral HeatingCoffee MakerCooking EssentialsDishwasherDryerEspresso MachineFire ExtinguisherFreezerFridgeHair DryerHangersHigh...More Details
