Pros: 1) Friendly and helpful owners. 2) Room was clean and maintained in tip top condition. 3) Room was cosy and the bed was awesome. (Me and my wife could not get up the next morning due to how comfortable the bed was. 4) Breakfast made by the owners were sumptuous and satisfying. Highly recommend the owner made pear jam and bun. 5) An accommodation that you will stay again. Cons: 1) None. P/S - Me and my wife are going again in Easter 2016. Its just that good!

My husband and I stayed at L'Olivette B&B - Lavender Room - for 1 night in November 2015 on a road trip from Sydney to Byron Bay. The lovely L'Olivette B&B is located in a quiet cul-de-sac with good parking facilities and easy to spot with its yellow paint, beautiful front garden and overall French flair. Our friendly hosts welcomed us very warmly. The Lavender Room was spotless, spacious and very comfortable with a small balcony. We especially appreciated the many small personal touches and beautiful self-made furnishings and decorations. The same goes for the rest of the house. Breakfast was served in the kitchen/dining area (since it was a bit too chilly for sitting in the garden) and was delicous and very filling, including home-made yoghurt and breads - it was so much we couldn't even finish it all and our host Martine packed some for the journey :-) Thank you Yves and Martine, we would love to come back!

Hosts were friendly and welcoming in their home. This BnB is ideal if you wish to experience something different and try to avoid staying in large noisy resorts. The decor was beautiful and the breakfast healthy and delicious! A wonderful relaxing experience.

Beautiful French room in a private cul de sac in peaceful Nelson bay. Great bed and breakfast with amazing hosts. Definitely a great find. We stayed in the Lavender room which was excellent. Breakfast included home made yoghurt and pastries. Would definitely stay again.

The room is lovely, and it was great chatting to our French hosts over the really nice continental breakfast provided. It was too far to walk in the dark to the nearest restaurants for dinner, so we drove.

We stayed for one night on 2 September 2017 - probably should have stayed two nights. Hosts Yves & Martine are wonderful, friendly and made us feel very much at home. We stayed actually in the Olive room and it was lovely - well appointed, tasteful and everything was beautifully maintained in the room and their house. Breakfast was wonderful - homemade jams, bread & brioche. We loved the Nelson Bay area of Port Stephens and you can't go wrong by staying with Yves & Martine. Thank you so much for creating such a wonderful haven for us to enjoy.

What a great find! Simply loved everything about Yves and Martines purpose built villa. They are both very suited to BnB - fabulous hosts and the room ideal for a 2 night stay. The breakfasts were gorgeous and we enjoyed our morning chats over breakfast. Thank you for a great experience Yves and Martine!

We stayed with Yves and Martine for a long weekend and we simply cannot fault their beautiful B&B. Super comfortable and private room full of lovely touches, equipped with everything you need, from a fantastic selection of movies, to homemade biscuits, tea and coffee. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and perfect to start the day. And the hosts, absolutely charming and welcoming. If you are looking somewhere to stay in Nelson Bay, stop looking! Yves and Martine’s B&B is the perfect place to stay :)

My husband and I absolutely LOVED our stay at L’Olivette in Nelson bay. Immaculate property, manicured gardens and beautiful home which was very quaint and chic - authentically so with French owners Yves and Martine - they were a delight, welcoming and great conversation over breakfast. The lavender room itself was very well appointed. Lovely high ceilings, mini fridge with teas coffee milks and little home made biscuits. Also we were in for a treat with the breakfast of fresh baked croissants and brioche, lovely fruit platter and home made yoghurt and jams (no space for lunch hours later!). On the map it looks a little further out of town, but only a 10 minute quiet walk. Highly recommend a stay at L’olivette for a couple weekend away or longer.
