Sage looks like it’s stuck in a bohemian moment of the 1960s – and we're here for it. Positively brimming with retro furniture, hip artwork, and a vibrant colour palette, it’s like breathing in a breath of fresh air. We love that all of this is happening inside an old Altbau building, with big windows and high ceilings, allowing plenty of natural light to stream through the large bedrooms and spacious communal areas. It's a real crowd-pleasing home, with three brightly coloured bedrooms, each with their own eclectic prints, funky patterns and green houseplants. Set against the backdrop of Mitte, it’s in an excellent location for exploring too. Alexanderplatz is around the corner (a five-minute walk away) – and if you feel like exploring Museum Island, it’s less than fifteen minutes from home by foot. *At capacity, four people will be sleeping on sofa beds in communal areas *The bathroom is a little tired-looking – the grouting in the ...More Details

At Balances, you’ll find industrial-inspired exposed brick and pipework, which the host has lovingly combined with minimalist furnishings that give this home a New York-like appeal. It is situated on the lower ground floor, but with plenty of natural light and its location on a quiet street, we’re willing to look past this minor detail. More importantly, Balances sits smack dab between some of Berlin’s most famous, and most important, sites. You can easily walk around this part of town visiting modern art galleries, historic museums or the Berlin Wall Memorial. *This home is located on the ground floor of the building and your bedroom faces the street *Guests three and four will sleep on the sofa bed in the living area *When we visited the Wi-Fi wasn’t working *The kitchen is small and equipped with only the basics Black-Out Blinds Buzzer / Wireless Intercom Carbon Monoxide Detector Central Heating Cleaning Products Coffee Maker Co...More Details

A Fresh Note
We fell in love with Lava as soon as we stepped through the front door. Inviting and luminous, the space oozes personality and soul. The colour scheme reminds us of nature (ocean/sky blue mix with earthy tones), while simultaneously being very twenty-first-century chic. Andrea is an interior designer, so it's no wonder why everything is arranged and curated with meticulous attention to detail. The immediate area isn’t Berlin’s liveliest, but you’re well-connected to the city centre, as well as the more dynamic areas of Charlottenburg. *Even though the kitchen is well-equipped, it’s a little small *This part of Charlottenburg is lovely, but you’ll have to do some walking to reach the livelier parts of the neighbourhood *We found some fake plants in the home, this might not be to everyone’s taste Balcony Buzzer / Wireless Intercom Carbon Monoxide Detector Central Heating Coffee Maker Cooking Essentials Dishwasher Dryer Espresso Machin...More Details
