At Balances, you’ll find industrial-inspired exposed brick and pipework, which the host has lovingly combined with minimalist furnishings that give this home a New York-like appeal. It is situated on the lower ground floor, but with plenty of natural light and its location on a quiet street, we’re willing to look past this minor detail. More importantly, Balances sits smack dab between some of Berlin’s most famous, and most important, sites. These trendy interiors are inside a charming Altbau building, with heaps of character, big windows and high ceilings, creating a bright and airy space to relax. The location is also great, with Alexanderplatz less than a five-minute walk away, equalling easy access to some of Berlin’s most popular sights. Location-wise, Versus is about as good as it gets. You’re only a short walk from Alexanderplatz (seven minutes to be exact), as well as Hackescher Markt and all of its shops. It’s worth noting that it’s quite small (it’s a studio), but if you don’t mind everything being in the same room, then you’ll like this place.
